This paleo banana cake is moist, delicious and a much healthier alternative to the traditional recipe.
For the past two weeks, I have been baking this paleo banana cake on repeat. I think I have made it ten times because it’s just that delicious. If you’re looking for a healthy version of banana bread, this paleo banana cake is just what need.
This paleo banana cake recipe only requires 6 ingredients and there is no oil! So easy!
Paleo Banana Cake
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 2 ripe medium bananas
- 3/4 cup coconut sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 cups almond flour
- 1/2 cup or more of paleo chocolate chips (I order these from Amazon)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, combine your wet ingredients including your bananas and eggs along with the coconut sugar. Mix and then incorporate the almond flour, salt and baking powder until well combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. I add around 1/2 cup but you can always add more. I don’t like this recipe to be too sweet and I’ve found this to be our favorite ratio.
Spray your dish. I recommend a normal brownie pan that’s either 8×8 or 9×9.
Place in oven and heat until well baked. My perfect time is around 43 minutes because I like the crust to be a little more crispy. I recommend anywhere from 33-43 minutes. Keep an eye on it since every oven is different.
Let it cool a few minutes and serve! It’s delicious when it’s warm.
OH MY GOODNESSSSSSS. You guys need to make this pronto. Jimmy loves this recipe so much that he was about to make it last night since we finished the last batch. I told him I was baking up two pans this morning so instead we relaxed and watched a movie. My kids eat it up too so that’s a win!
If you make it, let me know! If you are looking for more paleo or healthy recipes, I have a bunch on the blog.

Hey cuz! I hope and pray you are all doing well during these difficult times!
I want to make this this morning but don’t have coconut sugar. Can I use raw sugar or honey?
Thank you!
Susan
