Brown Butter Salted Rice Krispie Treats

February 12, 2019

Take your recipe up a notch and make these brown butter salted rice krispie treats.

This past November when I was visiting my sister to give her home a Christmas makeover, she made the most delicious brown butter salted rice krispie treats. I can not tell you how many I ate but let’s just it was A LOT. Okay, I ate more than half the pan. I love rice krispie treats but these were incredible. She’s terrible at giving directions because it’s always a little bit of this and a little bit of that so after much trial and error, I finally came up with the best balance of rice krispies and marshmallows. Here’s how to make your own at home so you can enjoy these amazing brown butter salted rice krispie treats.

I love cutting them into extra big squares. I ate way too many while creating this post for you guys. It’s a hard job but thankfully, I’m willing to do it.

I also made some and put them into popsicle sticks and drizzled melted chocolate on them. I also got this idea from my sister. I can’t wait to give these to my kids today after school.

These are also perfect for Valentines Day.

For this Valentines Day, can I ask you to consider doing something sweet? Think of a single friend or mama or just anyone that could use a little encouragement in their life. Drop off a card, a sweet treat or some flowers to let them know that they matter and you are thinking of them. These little acts of kindness can be a huge blessing to someone else.

I hope you make these treats. I promise, they will be a major hit. Be sure to share them with me on Facebook or Instagram if you make them so I can reshare.

Have a wonderful day, friends!

xoxo,
