Need a healthy and delicious dinner idea? Here’s how to serve fresh spring rolls!
Last week, I shared how I built my own large cutting board. One of the reasons I wanted to build it was for serving fresh spring rolls at home. We love Vietnamese spring rolls and it’s such an easy way to fill up on a ton of vegetables. The best part is there really isn’t a recipe. Here’s how to serve fresh spring rolls in your own home.
Fresh Spring Rolls Ingredients:
- 2 lbs raw shrimp (I marinated 1/2 cup soy sauce and 1/2 cup coconut sugar to peeled and deveined shrimp and cooked on skillet)
- shredded rotisserie chicken
- butter lettuce
- shredded and sliced thin cabbage
- sliced thin carrots
- spinach
- sliced avocados
- crushed peanuts
- basil
- sliced thin cucumber
- cilantro
- sliced bell peppers in different colors
- rice noodles
- rice paper
- hoisin sauce
- Sriracha sauce
If you prep a bunch one day, you can enjoy this all week!
Now, you can modify the ingredients by adding or omitting any vegetables or even fruits. Some other favorite ingredients are sliced apples, mango, sesame leaves, peanut sauce, fish sauce, marinated pork or beef.
Make it super simple with a few ingredients or serve all the above for the perfect party. It’s like tasting the rainbow. Isn’t it gorgeous?
You can eat these wrapped in rice paper or I prefer them as lettuce wraps.
They are perfect with a touch of hoisin, Sriracha sauce and crushed peanuts. YUM!!! You can make each one different until you discover your favorite combination.
They make the perfect meal to serve friends and family since there’s barely any cooking involved. If you’re hosting a gathering soon, try making this fresh spring roll spread. It’ll wow your guests and it’s such a fun food to eat.
