High-Protein Turkey Egg Scramble
If you’re looking for a delicious breakfast idea, try this high-protein turkey egg scramble
This particular recipe has been heavily repeated in the last few weeks in our home. This high-protein turkey egg scramble keeps me full and satisfied for at least 4 hours in the morning. If you’re looking to add something healthy, delicious, and easy, try making this high-protein turkey egg scramble.
Here’s how to make your own.
Turkey Egg Scramble
- ground turkey
- eggs
- egg whites
- your favorite cheese
- your favorite veggies like mushrooms, onions, peppers
- salt and pepper
At the beginning of the week, I like to prep meals, including cooking ground turkey and veggies. This week, I prepared ground turkey sauteed mushrooms. Sometimes, I make this with ground beef but I like that the ground turkey is softer and is much leaner than beef.
First, add your ground turkey. Of course, you can cook everything at once so if you do this, cook the turkey well and add salt and pepper. For two servings, I like to fry 3 eggs and add egg whites for that extra protein.
Add your favorite cheese like sliced cheddar. For some reason, hard cheese like parmesan and aged cheddar does not give me issues with my lactose intolerance. Add sauteed mushrooms or whatever other vegetables you like to the scramble. Onions and green peppers would add some great flavor as well.
Serve the turkey egg scramble with some sliced avocados. Top with salsa or fresh diced tomatoes too.
It’s so good, yall!
I can’t believe we are already heading toward the end of March. Our oldest has been practicing driving and she’ll be getting her license very soon. It’s all happening way too quickly. As the kids are getting older, we are finding it more important to spend quality time together, especially in the evenings and on weekends. Just this morning, I got really sad thinking about our oldest leaving for college in two years. Since the pandemic, I’ve really shifted some of my priorities and even though blogging is such a wonderful creative outlet for me, I just don’t have as much time for it these days. So all that to say, thank you for being here and reading and keeping up with the occasional DIY projects and recipes. You can still find me on Instagram and Tik Tok.
Bon Appetit!
