Do you love pizza? Do you love figs? Then, you’ll love this combination of flavors to make this delicious fig jam prosciutto pizza. It’s super easy to assemble and it makes the perfect appetizer or meal in itself.
In October, I went up to a vineyard in north Georgia for a friend’s birthday. We had lunch there and some of the girls ordered the fig jam prosciutto pizza and we all loved it so much. I catalogued it in my mind so I could recreate it at home. Well I did and it’s pretty darn good! Here’s how to make your own fig jam prosciutto pizza in the comfort of your home.
Fig Jam Prosciutto Pizza
Ingredients:
- flat bread or thin crust pizza
- olive oil
- fig jam
- prosciutto
- fresh mozzarella
- arugula
- fresh parmesan
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Place your crust on the pan and drizzle olive oil lightly on the top. Keep it in the oven for about 3-5 minutes. Take it out and spread fig jam all over the crust.
Then, add fresh mozzarella slices on the crust. Place it back in the oven until the mozzarella is melted.
Take it out of the oven and top it off with prosciutto, fresh parmesan and arugula.
Serve immediately while hot either by itself or with a fresh salad. Oh it’s sooo good.
Finding the perfect crust is key. I’ve only used grocery store crust but if you have a brand or recipe for thin crust that you love, send it my way please! You can totally make this a gluten-free meal if you need to.
It tastes light and fresh with loads of flavor. Try it and let me know what you think!
Thanks for checking out our project with Home Depot yesterday! Emmy and I had a blast and hope it inspires you this holiday season.
