Do you know what you’re planning on cooking for Christmas dinner? If no is your answer then I’m here to help you! I’m hosting dinner at our house this Sunday so I thought I’d share my Christmas menu with you in case you’re still scratching your head on what to cook.
If you need an appetizer idea, try creating a charcuterie or crudité platter.
For the main dish, we’re grilling balsamic glazed pork tenderloin. This recipe does not disappoint! The meat stays tender and it has a wonderful flavor from the balsamic glaze and maple syrup.
I made southern styled creamed corn for Thanksgiving and it will definitely be served again for Christmas! Everyone who tells me they made this recipe says it was a major hit.
This winter quinoa salad is so good with toasted pecans and chopped up persimmon. Yummmm.
You can never go wrong with roasting vegetables like this kabocha squash or cauliflower. It’s super healthy too so you can eat that slice of cake AND pie for dessert.
For dessert, you could try making this cranberry upside down cake. I’m thinking of doing an upside down pineapple cake for Jesus’ cake since I haven’t made that in forever. One fun fact. I used to bake pineapple upside down cake for every special occasion when I was in middle and high school. My family loved it and I’m not sure why I stopped baking it! I’ll be sure to share the recipe soon.
I’m trying to keep it simple with one appetizer, a meat dish, 2-3 sides and a cake. Well, that’s simple for me anyways. Do you have a menu planned? I would love to hear about what you’re cooking up this Sunday.
Have a great day!
