A red, white and green Christmas

December 5, 2018

A classic red, white and green Christmas never goes out of style.

Today is the last half of our annual Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour! If you’re coming from Meg’s home, welcome! I actually met Meg a few years ago at the Haven conference and she is a sweetheart. We have been doing this home tour every year together and it’s been so fun to see our homes decked out for Christmas each time. I’m excited to share my red, white and green Christmas today on the blog. This blog hop is sponsored by BohoLuxe Home and you can see their beautiful product on my first post from last week.

Our main Christmas tree is in the piano room in front of the bay windows. I have the Prince flocked 7 ft tree and it is stupendous. The flocking is beautiful, fluffy and overall, amazing quality. I had this one in the family room last Christmas but King of Christmas sent me a skinny tree this year so I’ll be sharing that tree on Friday.

Since classic never goes out of style, I used traditional colors to decorate our main tree. Classic red and burgundy come together with splashes of metallic ribbon to create this traditional look with a slight modern twist.

I’m all about mixing traditional and modern elements and the jeweled ornaments bring in a nice update from typical glass ornament balls. My in laws used to own a home decor importing business so all of these special ornaments came from their business years ago.

The tree looks especially beautiful at night all lit up.

I carried the color theme into our foyer and kept it clean and simple.

I love the modern elements in this narrow space with this narrow console table that was a Homegoods find a few months ago.

I installed peel and stick wallpaper a couple of months ago and the simple change really helped to elevate this small space.

A vintage green metal chair holds another small flocked tree and keeps the space from looking too formal or new. Vintage and thrifted treasures like that wooden bowl add character and is perfect for holding ornaments for that splash of color.

Yuni! Your tree is just stunning!! I love the classic red and white combo and how all the ornaments and ribbon pop against the white flocked tree. It all looks so magical. And now let’s talk about your entry way. That table from HomeGoods was a great find and you have it all decked out to perfection.
It’s been joy having you apart of the Merry & Bright Holiday Home tour again this year. Cheers to the season my friend.
