See what got completed for my mom’s bedroom for week 2 progress of the ORC challenge!
Well, it’s already time to share the progress for my mom’s bedroom week 2. This post was supposed to go live tomorrow but I have two big project reveals tomorrow so I decided to post today. If you missed week 1, you can read about that post here.
I’m linking with the other ORC participants at Calling it Home and sharing my weekly progress. I encourage you to check out other peoples’ transformations because there is so much inspiration to be found!
Here’s the inspiration design board I created for my mom’s bedroom.
We just finished spring break last week so I had a chance to go to my parents’ place over the weekend with Jimmy and the kids.
I was planning on painting alone because I didn’t think 3 walls would take so long but thankfully, Jimmy knew better. Jimmy and Jules both helped a good bit. The other two kids, not so much. 😉
We painted three of the four walls white because the focal wall will be wallpapered. I went with Sherwin Williams Alabaster which is a creamy white and I also had my client use this color to paint her walls for a recent living room project. It has a nice warm hue to it so it feels clean, bright and airy all at the same time.
Just painting my mom’s walls made the room feel so much brighter. Bye bye baby blue walls! I’m not sure if I can get anything done this week because I’m still waiting for the wallpaper to arrive. I can’t wait till that is installed! I also need to find and order a dresser and find some good lamps and nightstands.
I’m keeping it short this week so stay tuned for more updates! Be sure to check the blog tomorrow for a Spring Refresh blog hop and my HOME DEPOT PATIO REVEAL!! I am so excited to share that with you all!
Thanks for reading, friends!
xoxo,

Exciting.
YES! We are slowly getting there.
That’s such an inspirational story about your parents coming to the US. Your plan for the room looks lovely. I’m looking forward to seeing it. I used to travel to Korea a few times a year in my past career. I really enjoyed getting to know the people I worked with and am glad to still keep in touch with a few of them.
