ORC: Main Bathroom Week 4

April 27, 2017

Well, it’s week 4 of the One Room Challenge with Calling it Home. If you’re new here, welcome! You can catch up by reading my posts from week 1, week 2 and week 3.  I’m in the middle of giving our main bathroom a little facelift and I’m happy to say that a lot actually got done this past week

orc guest

Last week, I shared about how I hit a DIY bump when I started to regret painting the tiles. Well, I’m happy to say that it’s actually turning out much better than when I began. Here’s a sneak peek! Remember last week when my guest saw me paint the tiles and started panicking? Well this week, they were relieved to see it looking much different than last week.

I also painted the vanity black and this simple change alone gave the bathroom a fresh and updated look.

I’m loving the hardware! Can you believe where I found these? Hobby Lobby! All the knobs were 50% off last week and I loved their selection. I decided to use two types of hardware. Good hardware is like adding the perfect accessories to your outfit. It’s the icing on the cake.

I also received this beautiful art piece from Hayneedle. I mean look at it!!

It’s such a beautiful piece and will add the perfect amount of color to the bathroom.

Well, that’s it for week 4! I really need to finish everything this week so that I can photograph, edit, style and write the final post for this challenge. I still have a lot of work left so I’m hoping to get a good amount done this weekend.

A huge thanks goes out to my following sponsors for assisting me with this bathroom makeover. Thank you so much for following along, friends!!

I love finding hardware at hobby lobby. They have such a large selection and their products are durable. Win, win! The two hardware pieces you chose are great, they add interest and nicely compliment each other.

I love the painting but I do think I would turn it around so the blue was on the bottom. I think it looks like a body of water.

Hi Ann! I actually had it upside down in this photo and didn’t realize it until afterwards. Ha! You had it right!

Okay, I’m officially obsessed with everything and am seriously considering painting our wood double vanity in the master bathroom black! That hardware alone is so amazing, I could stare at it for days. And, of course, you and your tile painting skills – I can’t get over how creative you are! Oh, and can’t forget about that gorgeous art! I’m usually so OCD about abstract art and patterns in general (total weirdo, I know), but that gorgeous mix of blues and golds is just too perfect!

Yeah, I actually love the art a lot. My brother asked if it was too nice for the bathroom. I said nonsense! What better thing to look at while doing your business. ha! Thanks so much, friend!

Hobby Lobby has such a great selection! So cheap too! Thanks so much, Angela!
