Neutral Elegant Tablescape

June 1, 2017

A neutral elegant tablescape provides the perfect backdrop for entertaining.

Hi friends, if you’re visiting here from my friend, Mysha’s blog at Remington Avenue, welcome! Mysha is one of my favorite bloggers and I’m so excited I get to finally meet her in person in July for the Haven conference. She is heading today’s blog hop and I was so glad to join because I actually created this tablescape months ago but never had the time to post it. Well, better late than never I suppose! If you’re wanting to create a nice and simple table, this neutral elegant tablescape is for you.

Today’s fun blog hop is all about sharing ideas for summer tablescapes. When I think of summer, fresh abundant flowers are one of the first things that come to mind. My hydrangea plants are doing so well this summer and it’s so exciting to see how much they have grown over the years. If you want to know how to make your hydrangeas last for weeks in your vase, be sure to check out my tips here.

A while back, I shared how I created this simple floral arrangement in my pedestal dish. Trust me, it’s a lot easier than it looks.

I took out my wedding china set and decided to use them to create this look. I don’t use this set often because it seems a bit fancy but mixing them with these wooden chargers really helped to create a more casual look. If you are getting married, I recommend registering for timeless and classic pieces like white dishes because they will never go out of style.

Fresh flowers on the table are always a good idea.

The wooden chargers were from Michaels a few months back and I scored them for around $2 each on clearance. Score! The scalloped edges are my favorite detail.

I hope you got some inspiration from my simple neutral tablescape. This type of setting is great for all seasons because you can add color throughout the varying seasons with your flower arrangement.

Next on the blog hop is my friend, Alma at Almafied.  You don’t want to miss it. She’s insanely talented and has the most adorable kids.

Thanks so much, Alma. I’m definitely glad I went with all white for our fine wedding china. I went with a color pattern for our casual set and I’m not too crazy about those anymore. You know how my taste changes!
