“M”

September 15, 2015

This past weekend, my girlfriend, Unchong surprised me with an early birthday gift. She showed up at my door with this beautiful, wooden carved, “M.”

She bought it from the Daisy festival at Stone Mountain where they showcase people selling their various arts and crafts. I’m not sure why I never heard about it! I love that she picked out the natural one instead of one that had already been painted.

I immediately got to painting and decided on a creamy white since I knew that would go with any holiday or season. The best part is that I can paint the other side a different color! Jimmy requested maize on the border and blue for the M. I’m still thinking about that one!

I tied some green plaid fabric on the top to give it a bit of an Autumn touch.

I love it! Thanks, Unchong!! I love that it’s different from any of my wreaths and makes such a beautiful and simple statement. Do you put anything up on your door? If so, I want to see it! Share it with me on Facebook!

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5:13-14
