As you may know, we have 6 kids in the house this month! We have extended family staying with us for the month of July and my sweet nephews are all here. It has been loads of fun for all of us but also lots of work. I’ve actually been enjoying the crazy chaos because we’re all taking turns helping to cook and clean. I even created a meal helper chart so that each child is assigned to cook, serve, and clean that particular day.
To lessen the work of having to wash dishes all day long, we assigned each kid to a colored cup. I got this similar idea from my friend’s husband, Craig. He actually drilled a hole into the cup and then hooked it. I just placed a rubberband around it and hooked them onto a suction hook against the stove. The kids are in charge of getting their own cup and putting it back when they’re done. This way, we only have to wash these cups once in the evening as opposed to having a sink load of cups.
You could even keep them on the counter if you don’t want to hang them up. The youngest two kids need help but all the other kids are old enough for this system to work in our home.
Try this out with your kids if you’re tired of washing cups all day long.

Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God. 3 John 1:11

Love this!
Thank you, sweet Vernadine!
