A few pops of color add a nice refresh to my master bedroom summer tour.
Hey friends, I know summer is technically still a couple of weeks away but it totally feels like it here in GA. The weather is getting increasingly hot and humid and we are spending more days at the pool. I used to hate hot weather but I’m getting to be the polar opposite as I get older. Today, I’m sharing my master bedroom summer tour along with some talented blogger friends who are also sharing parts of their home. These blog hops provide so much inspiration and I love seeing how others use and enjoy their homes.
I recently shared a post in partnership with Mohawk Home regarding the benefits of using a rug in a space. This corner in our master bedroom has our vintage rattan chair and it’s just another little place to sit and relax. Just kidding. Who has time to relax here? Maybe one day. 😀
The navy wall paint is Sailors Coat by Olympic paint. I have yet to tire of this paint color and I love the sultry vibe it adds. Yes, you need sultry when it comes to your master bedroom!
I have used that hot pink throw for different projects and events like my outdoor dining table. It was a Kate Spade find from Homegoods.
This is my side of the bed. I like to keep it minimal and by minimal I mean you’ll usually find a pair of my glasses, hair ties and hair clips.
I painted our nightstands a while back and changed out the knobs for these glass looking ones.
The lamps are from Homegoods. Can you notice a pattern? It’s basically my favorite store to buy home decor accessories.
The baskets above the bed are just thrifted finds and I hung them up to add a little texture to the space.
This corner is next to Jimmy’s closet and don’t worry, I finally fixed my drapes and lengthened them but was too lazy to retake photos.
See how the rug ties everything together? It provides a nice base for everything.
Throw pillows are my love language. I’m not kidding. Buy me one and I’ll love you forever.
Too many pillows? NEVER!
Remember, I work as a home stager so I have a lot to style with. It’s definitely one of the perks. What’s not a perk? My house looking like an episode of pillow and decor hoarders. :/
That desk on the wall is for Jimmy when he works from home.
Having a designated work space even if it’s in the bedroom makes a big difference. You don’t have to have an office if you’re limited on space. Since our bedroom is large, this made sense to us and it has worked really well for our family.
This dresser was also painted just like those nightstands. It made the biggest difference! You have to see the BEFORE because it was just dreadful. I don’t know why we bought those when we got married. Oh wait I know why. I had bad taste. Haha
Thank God for paint! Just like him, it really does perform miracles.
Well that about wraps it up. Be sure to see the rest of the blog hop to get a ton of inspiration.
