Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour Part 2

December 7, 2016

Welcome friends to the second week of the Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour! If you’re coming here from Shelly at Confetti Style, welcome! If you missed the first week, you can find my home tour here. Last week, I shared some of the main spaces in our home. Today, I’m joining my blogger friends again and sharing my Christmas tablescape.

A big thanks goes to Paper Mart for sponsoring the Merry and Bright Holiday Tour.  I was provided free products by PaperMart but all thoughts, opinions and cheesy smiles are my own. 🙂 I’ve also added some affiliate links for your convenience.

If you’ve been with me for a while, you know I have a deep love for all things blue and white especially when it comes to transferware. I love Blue Willow plates and think they are perfect for every occasion.

christmas-design-tablescape-loveyourabode-7 christmas-design-tablescape-loveyourabode-5 Since our formal dining room wasn’t getting much use, I decided to convert it into my home office last year. It’s been such a better use of space and I love that it can easily be changed back whenever we need a dining area.

Similar Napkins

Aren’t these Christmas plates the cutest? I found them at Target for less than $2 when they were having a sale. I placed them on top of the blue and white Blue Willow plate and my DIY napkins. I sewed these napkins for my sister’s rustic baby shower a couple years back when I created a tablescape for a sit down dinner.

I decorated the table with an assortment of small flocked trees, pinecones and jeweled fruits. The chargers were a major score at Michaels in the clearance section and I can see them being used all year long. The scalloped edges are such a fun detail. I apologize but they are no longer available so I’ve sourced some birch colored faux wood chargers.

I really love mixing formal and casual pieces together so I moved our antique bench with some comfortable cushions as seating. The flatware is held together by some simple jute tassels provided by Papermart. They sell these for only $5.57 for a package of 12. You could use these for all sorts of different purposes.

Festive, fun and little whimsical is my cup of tea.

I updated this table when my parents let me have it a couple years ago. It’s my childhood table and it has new life in my home again. It’s kinda cool seeing my kids use the table I grew up using.

christmas-design-tablescape-loveyourabode-28 That’s a wrap! Please be sure to check out the rest of the blogger tours for today. I will be back next Wednesday for the final tour and sharing some other spaces in our home. The next blogger on the tour is Marsha at M.Jones Style. You won’t want to miss it. Please be sure to follow along with me on Instagram to see what I’m working on!

Yuni, I adore your holiday table. You did a great job mixing and layering the different dinnerware styles and your table just looks so chic and festive. I passed up this wood chargers at Michaels and now I’m kicking myself. And, I’m off to order those jute tassels. I never even thought of using them like to you. Brilliant.
