Today, I’m linking up with Thoughts of Home on Thursday, Pieced Pastimes and the Inspiration Gallery. I encourage you to check these links out for even more inspiration and creativity!
If you read yesterday’s post, I shared my blue and white tablescape. Today, I wanted to share two more ideas to give you a bit of inspiration when planning your Easter brunch/dinner. I went casual this time around and I think this would be perfect for an Easter brunch.
I used a white tablecloth and a thrifted doily runner. The runner adds some charm and texture to the table. I placed mason jars and these plastic outdoor wine glasses from Homegoods. I love using these plastic wine glasses because when we have dinner with the kids on the weekends, we let them use these. We call it our “fancypants” dinner. The kids love it and get a kick out of using these.
Since I wanted to go casual, I thought it would be fun to mix and match some plates. The yellow and blue patterned plates are from Villeroy and Bosch and were from our wedding registry. They are awesome quality and we have used them quite a bit over the last 13 years. The solid yellow and blues ones were thrifted.
Theres’s that banana coconut oil bread! It’s so good and perfect for a brunch gathering.
A bouquet of tulips in a white vase add quite a punch! I added small jars of carnations next to the vase as well. Simple, laid back, and pretty for a special celebration.
For the second tablescape, I only changed out a few things.
I changed out the doily runner and used a multi pastel runner from Crate-n-Barrel. I’ve had this runner since we were newlyweds! It reminds me of spring and Easter every time I pull it out. Another idea you could use if you don’t have a runner is to use gift wrap paper. Cut a long strip of pretty paper and place it on the center of the table going all the way across.
I changed out all the multi color plates and went neutral with plain white ones from Ikea.
Now, the tulips are yellow!
You want some of that bread don’t you?! #mybad If you have white plates, add a pop of color with your flowers or centerpiece. Change out your cups or add napkins. The possibilities are endless! I wanted to go very simple with these to share that some of the most basic items like white or mismatched plates and plastic drinkware can look great with a few simple touches. You don’t need much and there’s no need to overcomplicate! Hope you found these ideas helpful!
