I remember tasting a French Macaron for the very first time. It was pure heaven in my mouth. The best way to put it is it’s a layered experience. First, you bite into the crispy skin and then you transition into the soft, chewy, wafer like goodness. Lastly, you reach your final destination of a sweet,… Read more

Homemade Playdough

June 4, 2015

I have a confession. I love diys and crafts. You know what I don’t love? Children’s crafts. I know. It’s a bit ironic right? This past week, this happened. And it was a great happening. It was gooey, cheesy, doughy, crusty and totally delectable. If you have a cast iron skillet, this meal is so dang easy. You know I love easy meals.  I just buy a premade dough from Publix. You can make your own and I plan… Read more

Overnight Oats

May 19, 2015

Hi everyone! During the colder months, I usually make a big pot of steel cut oatmeal so we can have a warm breakfast with milk and maple syrup. I miss her big giant hugs, random crazy dance moves, impromptu jams on the piano, base guitar, harmonica, and ukulele. It’s a mix of excitement, happiness and sadness and I’m letting myself feel it all. I catch myself getting weepy throughout the day but I feel a deep sense of gratitude for this new season and what she’ll get to experience.
Aside from the rug, the girls styled their space and it turned out so cute. I love that she’s rooming with her friend from 1st grade. How can my child be in college?!😭😢
