Hi Friends! Today is Good Friday! Indeed, it is good!
I’m linking with Momfessionals for Friday’s Favorites! We usually have my parents over on Sundays for dinner but it’s just been my dad the past 4 weeks bc my mom has been in Boston. Well we finally get her back Saturday! #sorryyumes (insert crying emoji) We will be hosting Easter dinner and grilling lobster and shrimp. I need to share Jimmy’s garlicy butter spread because it is so good with seafood! If you make any of my recipes, lmk how it turns out!
Instead of getting Easter baskets for the kids, I bought each of them a flower/plant. I bought these from Trader Joes.
I’m currently displaying them on our Easter dinner table and I thought it would be fun to let the kids replant them since we’re preparing our garden bed next week.
Here’s our table! We received two types of wedding china from our registry and this was one of them. It’s got a fresh, country, Spring look which I love. I put the plants on our table too.
See that rustic mason jar? Did you make one??
Emmy was right next to me when I was snapping this pic. Can you tell?? LOL! #elmobomb
Thankful for our Savior. Truly it is a day of celebration!
If you follow me on Instagram, I upload lots of home decor pics like these. Btw, I used Ikea lace curtains for my table cover. I just overlapped one on top of the other. I think this pair was $10? I’ve used curtains as table covers here and here.
Last week, I wrote this on our chalkboard so we could read and meditate on it before Easter.
The gospel is beautiful and difficult to swallow at the same time no? In my devotional yesterday, Piper states that the self-sacrifice of Jesus in death was a “fragrant offering to God.” He did it in his own accord and did it because it pleased him. Friends, because of this, we can receive this free gift of salvation and we can stand and tremble in amazement of this love.
Jesus came for the broken people like you and me. No one is excluded from this. Thank you, Jesus.
