Annual highlights and virtual Haven 2020 recap
For the last 5 years, I have been attending the Haven conference here in Atlanta. The conference is held for DIY/Design bloggers and influencers. It’s a place where entrepreneurs, DIY-ers and influencers gather together to meet, teach, and inspire one another. This year was different in that we had to go completely virtual. My virtual Haven 2020 recap is a little shorter than years past but still worth sharing.
If you are interested in reading more about the conference, here are my recap posts from 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
This year, I was asked to be a part of the panel on side income hustles. I was a part of a similar panel discussion for last year’s conference. This summer, I was in a group with Brittany from Ellison Made, Jenn from Bachelorette Pad Flip, and Kera with Haute House Love. All of these ladies are super knowledgeable in their line of work and are a wealth of information. Brittany shared information on how to become a shop owner, Jenn expanded on tips for becoming an investor and house flipper and Kera talked about working with clients and doing E-design. I shared about my start in the home staging business.
This was day 2 of the conference. Doesn’t it look so professional? I know you’re so impressed. I was looking for a quiet room with good lighting so I snuck in JJ’s room which is currently undergoing a DIY transformation.
If you are here from attending that panel discussion, I hope you found our information helpful. Please feel free to send me any questions or leave a comment below the post. I have a FAQ post on the blog because I receive many questions surrounding home staging. I direct everyone there first since those are the most frequently asked questions. If there’s a specific question that isn’t answered there, feel free to send them my way at loveyourabode@gmail.com. I also have Staging highlights saved under my Instagram profile where I share behind the scenes photos and videos.
The Haven team did a great job of moving everything to a virtual experience. Even though we had some technical difficulties which were expected, it was still done well. I can’t imagine the amount of work and detail that goes into putting together such a huge event. I’m so thankful for Haven and the many friendships I’ve made along with the opportunity to learn how to grow my business and partner with some of my most trusted favorite brands.
If you have any questions, feel free to send them my way. I’m happy to answer anything about staging or blogging. Thanks for reading and if you haven’t had a chance, check out our current project going on in JJ’s bedroom!
xoxo,
