Here are some tips for inexpensive Christmas vignettes to create a little holiday magic around the home.
Hi friends! Today, I wanted to share some tips for inexpensive Christmas vignettes you can put around the home. If you want to add a little holiday decor but aren’t sure where to start, here are some of my simple tips for inexpensive Christmas vignettes.
Tip 1: Print free printables in frames
A really easy way to add holiday cheer is printing free printables that are available online and placing them in frames. I used these botanical prints that aren’t necessarily Christmas themed but I backed them up against red cardstock in these glass frames.
Tip 2: Add little mini Christmas trees
A mini Christmas tree is an easy way to create a vignette. You can find them for a few dollars at the dollar spot at Target or any craft store. I’m still loving this peel and stick wallpaper against my bookshelves.
Tip 3: Cute little houses
These little ceramic homes were from the Target dollar section and were so cute, I couldn’t resist them. I added some battery lights inside so they twinkle at night too. I may just leave them out after Christmas.
Tip 4: Use garland
I added one of my faux garlands around our kitchen windows along with a buffalo check ball garland that I found at Joann. Nothing says Christmas decor like some garland.
Tip 5: Display your serving dishes and mugs
If you own any Christmas dishes or mugs, now is the time to display them. This way, you and your guests can easily enjoy them.
Thanks to Lamps Plus for sending me those gorgeous black pendant lanterns. They are a much better fit for the island and I love the sleek design of the brass and black together.
Tip 6: Display your nativity set
I bought my nativity set at a thrift store a few years ago so I would definitely look there if you’re trying to find a set. My kids loved playing with them so unfortunately there have been a few accidents of broken heads and such but nothing a little hot glue couldn’t fix! I couldn’t get my act together this year for the advent calendar but I have a free ornament printable available so that your kids can memorize scripture each day. It’s not too late for this!
A Christmas tea towel and bag from my friend is perfect. I loving changing up this DIY dish rack every season. I know, I’m such a decorating nerd. Again if you want something simple and cheap, just print botanicals and display them in frames you already own.
Decorating for the holidays is really so much fun and I’m gonna miss taking them down after Christmas.
Lastly, I just wanted to say thank you for all your support on the LaZBoy competition. It’s officially over and we will find out the winner by mid January. I already feel like a winner so whatever the outcome, I’m already soooo thankful.
Have a great week, friends!
