A Spooky Front Door

October 28, 2019

Our spooky front door is ready for Halloween!

I can’t believe Halloween is in 4 more days. The last quarter always seems to fly by and I just want to savor all these moments. We love Halloween and it gives us the chance to dress up and have so much fun with the kids. I decided to deck the front door with a few pumpkins and spider webs and surprise the kids after school last week. I loved watching their faces when they saw the spooky front door. I say spooky because there were a good deal of real spiders AND webs. šŸ˜€ You know, I’m all about keepin it real.

I switched out the wreaths on the front door and kept it simple with this faux greenery wreath. I added the “Welcome Autumn” sign that my friend sent me a couple years back. I also love layering rugs and this blue one is great for indoors and outdoors.

Spider webs always add a nice spooky touch and so does my little Bonina over there chillin on the bench. We always buy the large mums from Costco because they are such a great deal. They never seem to bloom at the same time though! The small yellow ones are from Walmart. I only bought two pumpkins this year and I mixed in some faux ones. Nice and simple!

Bonina makes her yearly appearance and Emmy loves her the most. The forecast shows thunderstorms on Halloween. Boooo. We are hoping that the weather changes before then!

Emmy came home from school and I think it’s safe to say she’s excited.

The weather is finally changing and it has been glorious! The changing of the leaves and cooler air make me so thankful for the different seasons we get to experience in Georgia. I hope you all are enjoying this nice welcome into the holiday season.

This week will be a little quiet on the blog as I’m busy turning in a bunch of content to some of the brands I’m working with and as we prepare to leave for Savannah this Friday. My friend Jennifer and I are running our first marathon! We have been intensively training for 3 months and we are finally at the end! We can’t believe it. Please pray for us! Ha! My toenails have been major strugglin! #funtimes

Hope you have a great rest of the week, friends! You can see what I’m up to on Instagram where I share lots of daily tips, recipes and randomness.

xoxo,

I miss her big giant hugs, random crazy dance moves, impromptu jams on the piano, base guitar, harmonica, and ukulele. It’s a mix of excitement, happiness and sadness and I’m letting myself feel it all. I catch myself getting weepy throughout the day but I feel a deep sense of gratitude for this new season and what she’ll get to experience.
Aside from the rug, the girls styled their space and it turned out so cute. I love that she’s rooming with her friend from 1st grade. How can my child be in college?!😭😢
