For Nora’s 100 day party, I made a simple burlap banner. This is so easy that you don’t need a tutorial but I just had to share it because even the most uncrafty person can make this!
I’ve made a bunch of banners and they take quite a bit of time to make. I normally print out the letters on paper, cut them out, trace it on the desired cardstock, and cut them out again. This normally takes me a few hours to make. #aintnobodygottimefordat
Recently, I walked through the Walmart craft aisles and found these pre-cut burlap letters in packages that cost less than $4 each. I bought 2 packages since I was creating, “NORA JUNE” and I needed the extra, “N.”
I used what I had and grabbed 2 of these cardstock papers.
I cut them into 4 sections and placed a bowl on top to use as my circle stencil.
The burlap letters are adhesive but I recommend using a glue gun so that it stays on permanently. I punched two holes on the top of each letter and then weaved a long strand of jute twine through each circle. You can use baker’s twine or any other string.
It was so simple and took little time to create. If you need a banner for an event, I recommend this because it’s a great, neutral look. I believe Walmart even carried blue burlap letters.
I’ll finish the post with the cutest face ever! Have a great Tuesday!
