Hi everyone! Today, I’m sharing all the detailed sources from the One Room Challenge hosted by Linda at Calling it Home. Last week, I shared my complete guest room transformation. If you want to see the before, make sure to read that post because it looks completely different!
The paint we used is called “Pure White,” and was generously provided by my local Sherwin Williams. The manager was super kind and provided me with one of the best quality finishes from the Cashmere line. I chose an eggshell finish since it was going to be used in the bedroom. If you reside north of Atlanta and need some paint, my local Sherwin Williams will provide 30% to all of my blog subscribers. Just shoot me an email at loveyourabode@gmail.com and I can send you the address and more information. That’s a huge savings on amazing quality paint!
For this room, since I had a small budget, I kept the original bed and repainted it with Velvet Finishes. This paint was sent to me for the March Madness Blog Hop. The bed is over 13 years old and was bought when we first got married. The side tables and lamps were $50 garage sale finds that were also updated with Velvet Finishes, gold spray paint, and gold Rub-n-Buff. If you’re on a budget, try some simple DIY changes with paint and it can really update the furniture completely.
The gold square mirrors were originally bought for my SIL’s home but she ended up not using them and I thought they would look perfect in this room above the nightstands. They were $30 each which is a great deal for mirrors with such a unique look and size. I even got one for a few bucks cheaper bc it was missing a hinge on the back. Always ask for discount at Homegoods if you want an item that has any sort of damage. They will almost always give you 10% off. The faux plants and small white plate on the nightstand are from Ikea.
The gray striped curtains are Gulsporre from Ikea. I used 4 panels to make them appear more substantial. These are $16.99/pair. The tie backs are from another Ikea curtain pack. The gold frame was thrifted a while back. I shopped around the home so many of these items were already being used somewhere else in the house like the Target soy candle and white Michaels vase.
The gray and white buffalo check pillow is from Ikea. The metallic geometric shaped pillows and white dotted comforter set is from Homegoods. White bedding and throw pillows really help to add a coziness factor to the room.
I bought the gold and white tray a while ago from Target. The antler was a clearance find after Christmas item from Alter’d State. The white vase is from Michaels. The candle was a gift. The gray, soft chenille blanket is from Costco and I believe they still carry it. I think I paid around $13 for it when they were having a monthly sale on them.
The gray upholstered chair was sent to me by Lamps Plus and it’s a really beautiful chair. One thing to note is that the chair sits very low. The nailhead trim adds some glam to the armchair.
One of my favorite parts of the room is this sitting area. Highland Hardware sent me this beautiful acrylic frame with gold hardware. I wanted a large statement piece that would help distinguish this area separate from the rest of the room. They sent me the largest size which is 36 X 36 inches. Instead of finding one large piece statement art, I decided to use some fern prints to add some softness to the room. I love the look of botanical art and can you believe these are free printables!?! I discovered them from Emily’s blog and all you have to do is download and print them on cardstock. I cut twelve prints equally and carefully placed them in the acrylic frame. Pictures don’t do it justice. The prints are really beautiful showcased in that frame.
The side table was in my closet and I gave it a new coat of white paint. The gold metallic stand and plant basket are from Homegoods.
Did you catch my FB video last week on how to prolong the life of hydrangeas?
Lighting Design generously sent me this gorgeous five light drum shade pendant. It has a rubbed brass finish and it’s a complete show stopper. Unfortunately, it’s discontinued but I’ve found some some similar pendants from Lighting Design. Here are a few of them. Brass Pendant 1, 2, 3.
I have another pendant from Lighting Design that I won a while back for my office and I love it. Check out their website as it is a great source for all of your lighting needs.
The table and mirror received a makeover and you can find more information about that here during week 5. I moved my office chair in here and the color fits perfectly.
Don’t you just love the Welcome WiFi sign? It’s a free printable and you can find that here. And no, that information is not correct so don’t try hacking into our WiFi!
I think that about sums it up! If you you have any questions regarding the room makeover, don’t hesitate to ask! Everything else not sourced was a thrifted or taken from another room.
Thanks again to my following sponsors for generously providing me with free products for this room makeover! Thank you for working with me to make this transformation possible.
