After a few tweaks, my office is complete!
Did you catch my printer box tutorial last week? After building the printer box, I decided to make another larger version to hold all of my important files and office supplies. The printer box looked lonely and I love how the two pieces complement each other and look more intentional in my office. I’m so excited because it finally feels like my office is complete!
A couple of months ago, I started working on my office area. Since it’s a multi-functional space, there was so much going on without any organization. I painted the walls, painted the large cabinet green, installed wallpaper and built some custom pieces for the space. I can finally say that my office is complete.
One of the things I really needed to address was figuring out a method to organizing a lot of my very important paperwork and office supplies. The large green cabinet has lower shelves but they are short shelves that don’t allow for any filing pieces to stand. It just wasn’t conducive to organizing my files and that’s why I decided to customize and build my own box.
I built the box so that there are two doors for easy access. It also has a wide and deep enough space to hold office supplies and a ton of documents. I will add some simple labels to the front of those standing file holders and it will make it so easy to keep my documents organized.
I also added some fun acrylic pulls from Hobby Lobby and campaign details to customize and add some fun details. If you want to build your own, it’s quite similar to the printer box tutorial. The only changes are creating two doors in the front and adding a bottom layer of wood. The stain is exactly the same and I also torched the exterior using my Bernzomatic.
This room finally looks and feels finished and I’m so happy with it. It’s going to look so different when Christmas comes around and I can’t wait to share it again then.
My Christmas tree will sit right where those two chairs are.
There was a lot of fun DIY projects in here and it has truly become a space where I feel inspired to work. I just love that you can’t see my printer in here anymore yet it’s so easily accessible.
We are currently on Fall break with the kids so it will be a little slow here on the blog. You can follow along with more projects and tips over on my Instagram.
Thanks so much for reading!
