Welcome to my Joy Filled Christmas Home Tour!
This post is sponsored by King of Christmas but all thoughts, styling and frozen fingers are my own. Today, I’m joining another group of bloggers to share some Christmas inspiration with you all. We have decked our homes and are excited to share tips on all the different ways to decorate your home for Christmas. I love that whether you are a minimalist, maximalist or somewhere in between, you can find different tips as inspiration to create the home you love. So without further ado, welcome to my Joy filled Christmas Home Tour! You will see the whole list of bloggers at the end of the post.
When it comes to my front door, I tend to gravitate towards classic colors. Red, green and white will never go out of style and throw in some plaid, and it’s perfect. Let’s just say I about froze my limbs off when I was shooting my front porch. This GA girl CAN NOT deal with cold!
An easy way to incorporate a simple garland around the front door is using one long faux garland first. I just hang it up using some nails and floral wire. Then, I ran to my sister in law’s house next door and clipped all her amazing spruce branches from her backyard. I took those clippings and attached them to the faux garland using the floral wire.
Last year while cutting branches, I ran into a small snake and a bug flew on my lip. Fun times. You’d think I would’ve learned. Nope. I went foraging again but this time, there were no critters to be found. Anyways, the point of this story is that the branches make it look full and it’s super cheap because it’s practically free. If you don’t have any nice branches you can clip outside, just head to your local Home Depot and they have bins of it for free.
My oldest nephew, Sean actually helped me clip the spruce branches and attach them to the faux garland. It was an unexpected quality time spent with my nephew. He did an awesome job!
The mini flocked 3 ft trees are perfect from King of Christmas. They look amazing without any decorations and the quality is the best. I own a few King of Christmas trees and they never disappoint.
Some mixed ribbons make it cheery and joyful. I love being intentional about the front entrance as much as the inside. I love creating cheerful and cozy spaces and I hope that the front welcomes our guests with intentionality and purpose.
I took a faux wreath and did the same thing like the garland. I took the faux clippings and added the branches to the wreath to make it fuller. I used the same ribbons to carry the classic theme.
I’m loving the string of bells that I hung on this wreath. They came in a pewter color and we used rub-n-buff to make them gold. Sean actually did this part for me too.
You can’t really go wrong with the garland. I think the crazier the better. Kinda like me. hehe. A Christmas mat welcomes guests in with an added festive touch.
Our main flocked tree is also from King of Christmas and I carried the classic colors into our piano room as well.
The location is perfect as it sits in front of the bay windows and faces the front of our home.
Our kids are getting older but they still love their matching pajamas.
Btw if you haven’t heard yet, my son would like Doritos for Christmas. It was on his wishlist. 😀 I think we can make that happen. Ha!
