Hey everyone, hope your weekend was great. I had the most blessed time at our women’s conference. It was such a refreshing time of worshiping, serving, and seeing the Lord at work. One thing God reminded me was that when something is covered in prayer, Jesus will show up in powerful ways. I’m still in the midst of processing it all.
Remember this picture I posted this past Friday? Emmy is actually “jumping” here. She may have gotten 1 cm off the ground.
Today, I’m sharing a simple Halloween craft. I saw this at my friend’s house a few years ago and it was the cutest thing. It only requires two items which are yarn and twigs from your yard. These twig spider webs are simple to make and are so much fun for kids. Who am I kidding. They’re really fun for me too!
You can use any color yarn but I like to use white because they look the most like spider webs. You can make this as big or small as you want.
I just broke off a few twigs from my bushes and removed any leaves.
You can use various sized twigs or keep them the same length.
Cut a long piece of yarn. Criss cross three or more twigs and start wrapping your yarn in the center going in and and around the twigs so that it has a sturdy center.
You should be able to take your finger off and see that the yarn holds the twigs in place.
Start going around each twig and wrapping the yarn around and moving to the next twig and repeating the same pattern.
Go around and move further and further out.
When you’ve gone around close to the ends of the twigs, tie it against one of the twigs. That’s it!
Place a bunch of spiders on them and stick them inside or outside your home. It’s perfect for my bug loving kids. Me… not so much.
We also added some glow in the dark cobwebs with tons of spiders and black rubber rats.
Doesn’t that look disgusting? Good, that’s the point!
You can make these spider webs as small or as large as you want. It only takes a few minutes and totally adds a fun, spooky touch to your home. This is as creepy as it gets around here!
If you make these, be sure to post a picture on my facebook page.
Have a great start to the week!
