Create Personalized Gifts with the Cricut Explore Air 2 this holiday season.
Can you believe it’s already November? Even though my kids are getting older, they absolutely love our family traditions. One of these is wearing matching pajamas for the holidys. I love buying them matching pajamas in October so that they can wear them all throughout the winter months. Thanks to my friends at Cricut, I was able to create personalized gifts with the Cricut Explore Air 2.
With the infusible transfer sheets from Cricut, I decided to add a personal touch to the kids’ pajamas but still keep them matching.
I bought the same fleece plaid pajama bottoms for the kids and used simple white t-shirts from Cricut to add the personal touch. They were thrilled with the idea because they had their own opinions on what they wanted on their shirts and couldn’t wait to wear them.
Trying to get them to be serious about photo sessions is almost impossible so I take what I can get!
We went into Cricut’s design space where Jules chose a basketball for her shirt. She is super athletic and loves basketball, running and one of her favorite classes in school is advanced PE. I mean, who even takes advanced PE? She is truly our daughter.
JJ requested a football. He is also really into sports like his older sister and if it includes a ball, he’s in. The boy could literally play or watch football all day long.
Emmy wanted a butterfly and it is so fitting. She is a girl that loves all things girly and sweet. Six is such a fun age and it’s so magical watching her just embrace life with such a joyful little heart. You can find so many ideas, images and inspiration from Cricut’s design space.
I am still learning how to use the infusible transfer sheets and Easy Press 2 iron. With our marathon last weekend, I was also able to personalize our tank tops. I will say that I am seriously impressed with what these machines can do. The possibilities of what you can create are limitless. I have been playing around with the machines and it’s such a great tool in personalizing apparel, gifts and so much more.
The first thing you want to do is download or choose images that you want to use. I kept it simple since I’m still new at using these machines. After figuring out the images, I loaded the infusible sheet into my Cricut Explore Air 2. Make sure to put your setting on the Cricut to custom. You also want to make sure you click on mirror image since you will do this upside down on your fabric. Jimmy joined in on the fun and we let Emmy choose her butterfly image.
When you print, the box will pop up to show which type of cutting . Make sure to click on infusible sheet. This way, your Cricut machine will know not to cut all the way through the sheet like it would if it was just on normal card stock. It’s so amazing that the machine knows how to do this!
Once everything is cut and your sheet comes out, cut around the image or wording. You can use tweezers to start peeling away the excess infusible sheet. This can be a little challenging if you’re printing out intricate designs or small wording. Just take your time and be careful.
Once that’s done, place your image with the clear sheet face down onto your fabric. Check the directions on the infusible sheet box for the heat temperature for your Easy Press 2. The Easy Press heats up very quickly so make sure you are ready to use it and be careful because it’s hot!
Place your shirt and infusible sheet on top all while being on top of the Easy Press mat. Place the iron on for 15 seconds and don’t shift or move it around as the color can bleed. A simple tip is to put it down and then pick it straight up. Once it’s cooled, you can also do it on the other side. After practicing, I got better but I made a few mistakes in the beginning with the color not transferring all the way or bleeding to the side.
That’s it!! After it’s completely cooled down, peel away the plastic sheet and you’ll be able to see your new customized pieces.
The kids loved wearing their new pajamas and were completely goofing off during this photo shoot.
One of the perks of my job is that I get to capture these goofballs together. I gave up on getting the perfect poses long ago and I think these are way better anyways.
I can’t wait to make more customized gifts like this Cricut and Easy Press 2.
These will make the most wonderful Christmas bags and I envision them being gifted to teachers with lots of fun goodies inside.
Thank to Cricut for helping to create the cutest pajamas for the kids and giving me endless gift ideas for the holidays as well as throughout the year. You can purchase your own Cricut and Easy Press here . If you create something with these tools, I would love for you to share them with me. Let’s share inspiration with each other!
As always, thanks for reading!

Very cute, Yuni! I still have t tried the infusible ink, but plan to as soon as I find something I want to make. I wish you could put it on more than just the handful of items they sell- all white items. I’m sure that will change eventually:) Your kiddos are so cute and I know they love when you make these special items for them!! 😘

Thank you so much, MaryAnn!! You need to give me some tutorials on the Cricut since you’re such a pro. And yes, the kids love them! I have so many ideas brewing!
