Here’s a fun and eeeeasy way to throw a ramen birthday party!
This past weekend, we celebrated Emmy’s 9th birthday. She came up with the most clever idea for her birthday this year and asked for a ramen party. It was a big hit with everyone and the birthday girl had the best day. I mean what’s better than ramen? A ramen party!
Big sis got to work and made some cupcakes for her baby sister. We just took boxed vanilla cake mix and frosting since we wanted to keep it simple. Jules used a tiny piping cone for the frosting and simulated ramen noodles.
They came out so cute! She added pocky sticks to make them look like chopsticks.
Everyone needs a big sis like Jules.
We surprised Emmy and she was so tickled with the outcome.
Emmy loves the instant Jin cup ramen so we had a bunch of those and I also made a huge pot of Shin Ramen which is spicy but oh so good. We made some soft boiled eggs for anyone who wanted to add them to their bowl of ramen. I bought these cute ramen themed Ppushu snacks from H-Mart as the party favors. Everything can be picked up from the Asian grocery store or from Amazon. I had planned on using paper bowls and then decided to use regular bowls instead since the ramen was so hot. A couple of friends brought over dumplings, fruit and I also made a charcuterie board.
Happiest birthday to our favorite 9 year old!
The next day, I took Emmy out with some of her close girlfriends and we had pizza, bubble tea and hung out at Barnes and Noble. She truly had the best birthday weekend!
If you throw a ramen themed birthday, let me know! I’d love to see your personal take on it.
