Let’s check out my Friday Favorite Five Edition 7!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We drove up to DC to meet my sister’s family for Thanksgiving. They live up in New York and since we really wanted to see them for the holidays, we made plans to meet up in somewhere in the middle. I’ve been sharing a bunch of our shenanigans on Instagram but I will put a post together for a DC trip recap because it was sooo amazing. We’re on the drive home but couldn’t forget my Friday Favorite Five. Today on Friday Favorite Five Edition 7, I’m sharing about some great beauty products like this really cool stone roller that removes oil from your face, hairdryer, lash serum, and the coolest shacket.
I recently discovered this intriguing stone roller and had to test it out. I have oily-combination skin and I’m usually having to blot my face towards the afternoon with some napkin or toilet paper. The stone roller from Revlon somehow absorbs oil off your face! It actually works, people. You can remove the little stone to wash and dry overnight. Make sure you purchase the Revlon brand and not some off-brand because the reviews were not the same.
I used to use Rodan and Fields lash boost but it was so expensive and I wanted to test out a few other options. I decided to try a few similar lash-growing serums and I’m currently loving this one by Grande Lash. It’s not cheap by any means but it’s still about half of the price of R&F version and lasts many months. I also tried Liason for many months but wasn’t as thrilled with the results. I’ve been using this drug store mascara for years and can’t find one better than this one.
Next up, is my hair dryer from Jinri. I timed it the last time I blow-dried my hair and it took 3.5 minutes! It is currently on sale for 20% off and uses negative ionic fast dry technology. I use the diffuser sometimes if I want to leave my hair curly since I have naturally wavy hair.
Okay, shackets are all the rage right now! Basically, it’s like a sweater+jacket. Think of it as a lighter version of a coat. It’s thinner and cuter as it comes in a lot of solid, wool, or patterned options like plaid or flannel.
My shacket is from a brand called, “Blank NYC.” You can sometimes find this brand at Nordstrom Rack or TJ Maxx. Here’s a really cute option from Amazon for $45 and has great reviews. The length was perfect for DC and I know I will be wearing this a ton this season as it’s a great layering piece. I’m super tempted to buy the pink one!
We also went to Costco in DC since Yun Mi doesn’t have one near her home. We found some amazing clothes for the whole family! I was super excited about this sherpa-lined flannel jacket and it was less than $15! My sis got one in a different print. Grab a rotisserie chicken and some cute clothes! We bought some sweatshirts for less than $10 and some leggings and fleece-lined pants for that cold NY weather.
Ok that’s it for this week! I hope you have a wonderful rest of your Thanksgiving weekend and your heart and stomach are full and happy. Be sure to make this epic leftover turkey sandwich today.
