WHAT’S NEW FOR THIS WEEK’S FRIDAY FAVORITE FIVE?!
For this week’s Friday Favorite Five, I’m sharing a book I just finished, the cutest shirt, a yummy Costco find and more!
Did you guys have a good week? My face was staring at the screen a good portion of the week as I finished editing a holiday project and turning it all in to the brand. I can’t wait to share that one with you because it was so much fun creating it with Emmy. She is becoming such a natural on the camera.
For this week, I’m sharing a variety of things and one of them is this super cute ruffle sleeve shirt. I loved it so much I got it in two different colors. It looks super cute dressed up or casual with jeans. It’s currently on sale for $30.
Please disregard my dying mums. Someone hasn’t been watering them every other day. We took this after church on Sunday and someone was feeling silly. 🙂
I just finished this book by Rebecca Smith called, “A Better Life.” Rebecca actually sent me the book about a year ago and I finally had the chance to read it. I met Rebecca years ago when Jimmy and I lived in Clarkston, GA for a year doing ministry where there was a huge population of refugees. Jules was only a year old at the time and we were living there with a group of our friends who were called to become missionaries. That time seems so long ago but that year really made an impact on us. That’s a story for another day but I happened to meet Rebecca before I became a blogger and before she became a successful entrepreneur.
Fast forward some years, Rebecca moved to Hamtramck, Michigan, and organically started her custom handbag company. She shares her faith and journey of how her company came to be by hiring local immigrant women who often struggled with employment. I found it to be both inspiring and beautiful. It’s an easy read and I highly recommend it! It was also fitting for me as I have been thinking a lot about my personal meaning of success.
Thank God they brought Costo samples back! It’s such a great way to try a new product from Costco and that’s exactly what happened when I tried this delicious everything crusted cod. It’s easy to cook up because you just stick it in the convection oven. It’s deliciously seasoned and perfect if you have certain allergies.
I ordered this Royal Gourmet outdoor gas griddle over the summer and used it a couple of times. Now that it’s finally getting cooler, I can use it more often in our screened porch. I’ve been wanting to get the Blackstone but decided to try this brand since it was cheaper and had great reviews.
I made veggie stir fry and fried rice and holy cow, it was so delicious! The fried rice reminded me of that restaurant taste because of the smoky wok flavor. That’s basically what happens when you cook on this griddle. I bought and use these griddle accessories every time I cook on the grill.
This was what we ate with the Cod from Costco. So good! I’m gonna try to make Pad See Ew next!
This is my set-up outside on the dresser. I bought some tiles from Home Depot and they fit perfectly on top of this old $20 dresser I bought and transformed from FB marketplace. Haha my face looks sad in this mirror because I thought I was out of propane gas. Turned out, I was just using it incorrectly.
I hope you enjoyed this weeks’ Friday Favorite Five! Have a most wonderful weekend and trick or treating with your little ones. Follow me on IG if you want to see our costumes and check out last week’s FFF if you missed it.
