FRIDAY FAVORITE FIVE EDITION 27
Happy Friday, friends! I’m back today sharing my random favorite five for edition #27. This will most likely be my last one for the summer until school starts up again. Writing blog posts during the summer months prove to be difficult with the kids at home and our change of schedule.
Favorite #1: Frozen Chocolate Peanut Butter Bananas
We have been making these healthy-ish treats for the past couple of months and they always disappear quickly. Cut your ripe banana into four sections and spread some peanut butter, cover it with melted chocolate and then sprinkle crushed peanuts on top. Freeze for a few hours and enjoy!
You can also cut them in halves and stick a popsicle stick in them. They are perfect for this hot and sticky summer.
Favorite #2: Trader Joe’s Ube Mochi Waffle Mix
Holy moly, these are sooo good! You know I love anything mochi and this boxed mix did not disappoint. The only complaint I have about this box is that it’s not big enough.
The purple ube color is so pretty! It’s perfectly sweet and chewy and I may or may have not eaten half of the box in a few hours.
Favorite #3: Wavy Hair Cream
Emmy and I both have naturally wavy hair and this is the cream I use whenever I don’t have time to style it. I finally decided to try it out on Emmy and her hair turned out so cute! The cream has a really nice coconut scent and I love that it uses better ingredients and keeps the curls looking softer. My mini-me and I share the same hair texture, color, and curls!
Favorite #4: CAVA-delicious
When we worked on the Friends Of Refugees Hospitality House, their assistant Alissa dropped off some Cava meals for Jules and me. We have been hooked ever since and eat it every weekend. It’s fresh, healthy and full of yummy Meditteranean flavors we love. I highly recommend trying their strawberry and blueberry drinks too because they are refreshing without tasting overly sweet.
Favorite #5: Mexican Train Dominoes
If you’re looking for a fun family game, we recommend Mexican Train Dominoes. Our friends introduced us to this game during the pandemic and it’s become a hit with our kids. Basically, you’re trying to get rid of all your dominoes by connecting them to any of the “trains.” The person with the lowest amount of points is the winner.
Hope you all have a great weekend! I’ll continue to share my Friday Favs over on Instagram but will be taking a break from sharing it on the blog for the summer. Stay cool friends! Our AC went out along with everyone else in our cul-de-sac. Thankfully, we got ours fixed because we are hitting almost 100-degree weather here in HOT-Lanta.
xoxo,
