FRIDAY FAVORITE FIVE EDITION 26
Happy Friday, friends! I’m back today sharing my random favorite five for edition #26.
Favorite #1: Emmy turns 9!
Today, my little baby turned 9. Did you know I started this blog when she was 1? That’s the only way I can keep track of how long I’ve been blogging! She is my little mini-me and loves to be by my side and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Happy birthday, baby girl! I am so proud of the lady you are becoming.
Favorite #2: Home Depot Workshop at the GA aquarium!
Last weekend, we hit our local Home Depot where they hosted the kids workshop outside. The weather was beautiful and it was so wonderful seeing so many families attending the workshop. We have missed being a part of this during the pandemic and it was so nice being able to go in person again. We even saw a friend and her daughter who were right next to us building the adorable fish tank. Emmy and I will be at the GA aquarium next Saturday for Father’s Day weekend hosting the same Home Depot workshop. We hope to see you there!
Favorite #3: New Coffee Table
I just ordered this gorgeous metal coffee table this past week to replace the one that was previously here. I ended up donating the white one because it was never made to be outdoors. It got scuffed up so hopefully, someone will add their own DIY touch and revive it again. This black metal coffee table is from Target and sports the cutest little decorative gold knobs and is currently on major sale for 30% off.
A couple of weeks ago, Jules and I gave our patio a major clean and used the dry vac to pick up all the cobwebs and debris. I decided it was also a good time to switch the conversation and dining table set to make it feel new again. Thanks to Jules for assembling this coffee table together!
Once summer is gone, I’ll probably switch the sets again because I’m extra like that! I am sooo loving how the coffee table looks here and know it should hold up to the elements outside. The blue and white diamond rug is great because it is made to be outdoors. Our conversation set is currently on sale. I wouldn’t say it’s the most comfortable but it’s really affordable and fits many guests. I like this set because it’s lightweight and has a very streamlined look that is a bit more narrow than typical patio sets. I have been known to fall asleep out here during the day.
Favorite #4: Potting Bench
I ordered a potting bench for my backyard and omg it came with a million pieces! Jules built the drawer and then had to leave so I was left to build the rest. I hate reading directions but I managed to get it done even though I made two extra holes. To my defense, the pictures were not very clear.
Now, I have a place to store my extra soil and hang my little gardening tools. I still need to clean up this area but it’s getting there! The quality isn’t the best but I think it’s pretty good for the price. I just wish it didn’t have a hundred pieces! It’s currently out of stock but you can find similar ones online.
Favorite #5: New Headshots!
Jules has become my personal assistant and she even took some new headshots for my business card. I haven’t taken any in quite a while and she did a great job! This is reason #2435 why it’s so awesome having big kids.
I hope you all have a great weekend and stay cool, friends! Our AC needed repair yesterday but I’m thankful someone could come to fix it quickly since we are heading towards the 90s this week.
xoxo,
