FRIDAY FAVORITE FIVE EDITION 25
Happy Friday, friends! I’m back today sharing my random favorite five for edition #25.
Favorite #1: Home Depot Kids Workshop
Don’t forget to attend the Home Depot kids workshop tomorrow at your local store. The kids’ projects are free and a great way to spend a fun Saturday morning together building and learning to DIY. For the month of June, we will be building a fish tank!
Favorite #2:Greenville,South Carolina
We took a short weekend trip with our family to Greenville for the first time and it was such a good time. We highly recommend if you have a weekend to go eat at the local joints and hang out at the park along Reedy River. We visited the local zoo, the nature preserve and just had the best time with the kids.
This summer visor lives in my car and is always on my head whenever I go outside. It comes in a bunch of different colors too! Protect your skin, friends!
Some of our favorite places we ate were at Biscuit Head, Menkoi, Luna Rosa, and Sully’s Steamers. We highly recommend the steamed bagel sandwiches. They are perfectly soft, hot, chewy, and the combinations are amazing. Our whole family agreed Sully’s was our favorite place in Greenville.
Favorite #3: Identify Plants with your Iphone or Android
I shared this discovery on my IG this past week and it’s the coolest little feature! I’m obsessed with discovering the names of plants and flowers and this makes it too easy. It’s also a great activity to do with kids. If your phone is too old, it may not have this function. Just make sure you have the latest IOS update. If you have an android, try using google lens.
I love that you don’t need to pay an app for this function! I’ve been incessantly looking up new plants and flowers everywhere I go. 🙂
Favorite #4: Korean Shaved Ice Dessert
It’s hot!! You know what that means? Patbingsu! We love making this all summer long because it’s refreshing and full of delicious flavors like sweet red bean, fruits, condensed milk, mini rainbow mochi, and ice cream. The sweet bean paste is essential but I know some non-Koreans can have a hard time getting around the idea of beans for dessert. If you can’t get into it, just omit that part and make bingsu with the other ingredients. We use an ice shaver just like this one and it’s currently less than $24. You can make snow cones too! I recommend green tea ice cream or just plain vanilla on top.
Favorite #5: Tooth brush holder
This one is a bit random but I got this inexpensive set for Jules and JJ’s bathroom. It’s basically a toothbrush holder and squeezer set for their counter. It has a minimal design and doesn’t take up much space. Cute right?
Thank you for all the wonderful feedback from my project with Friends of Refugees. Last night, we attended a beautiful donor and volunteer event that was hosted by their organization at the Botanical Gardens. It was really heartwarming to see so many people in attendance who have a heart for the refugee community in Clarkston, GA. I’ve been asked how you can also take part in this community. I would encourage you to fill out the questionnaire on their website to find more information.
Thanks for reading friends and hope you have a wonderful weekend. Be sure to check out our garage makeover that I shared yesterday!
xoxo,
