FRIDAY FAVORITE FIVE EDITION 24
Hey friends this for this week’s Friday Favorite Five Edition 24, I’m sharing some floral arrangement ideas for Mother’s Day, some finds at the antique store, fertilizer to get your flowers looking vibrant, and more!
Favorite #1: Mother’s Day Arrangements
Mother’s Day is this Sunday and if you haven’t gotten anything yet, go grab a bunch of flowers from your local grocery store. Put together your own arrangement and surprise mama with a beautiful masterpiece that you did yourself. I made 5 different arrangements and you can see them on my Instagram reel. There’s an arrangement for every mom.
Look at this gorgeous arrangement full of pink ranunculus and green hydrangeas. Place it in a beautiful vase and throw in a gift card to her favorite store.
Favorite #2: Fertilizer
Now that we won’t have any more cold frosts here in GA, it was time for me to add fertilizer to our roses, azaleas, and hydrangeas. For my rose, I use Jobe’s Organic and Holly-tone for my azaleas and hydrangeas.
This stuff stinks but your plants will love it! Read the directions on the back of the package and go give your flowering bushes some love so that they thrive this season.
I LOVE bringing fresh cuts of flowers every day from the yard. Look how stunning these colors are!
Favorite #3: Antique Finds
Jules and I hit my favorite local antique market and we scored some really great finds. I saw this vintage pedestal-type tray and knew it had to come home with me. I added it to our entryway and it’s just so cute!
Jules found this art showcasing one of her favorite things in this world which is bread. 😀 The colors even match her room’s aesthetic so it fits right in her space. Antique stores are such a great place to find unique pieces that add so much character and personality to your spaces.
I also found this really cute wicker entertaining basket. It holds plates, napkins, and flatware! I picked it up for only $10 and it is going to be the perfect entertaining addition since we have friends and family over every weekend.
Favorite #4: Acrylic Tumblers
Here’s my hack so that you don’t wash a gazillion water cups every day. On my island, I have a wooden board with our everyday items like napkins, butter, diffuser, oils, and Lactaid pills. A while back, I decided to give each kid their own cup and leave it there all day so that they only use one cup each day. This has been the best thing ever because they are so used to using their own tumbler. I recently switched them out since we broke a few of the last ceramic cups. These are acrylic tumblers from Target and they came in 3 different colors which were perfect since each kid has their own specific one.
Favorite #5: Roasted Chicken
For Jules’ birthday dinner, I cooked roasted chicken. It’s such an easy recipe that makes it look like you slaved all day in the kitchen. Plus, the leftovers are fantastic. I’m telling you, the potatoes and onions in this recipe are so freaking delicious because they catch all the yummy drippings from the chicken.
I’m not sure how it happened but our girl turned 15. Looks like a driver’s permit is right around the corner meaning today because she is making me take her. Someone can’t wait to drive!
Thanks for reading, friends! I hope you have a great weekend.
