FRIDAY FAVORITE FIVE EDITION 22

April 22, 2022

LET’S SEE WHAT MADE THE LIST FOR FRIDAY FAVORITE FIVE EDITION 22!

Hey friends! We made it through another week. For this week’s FFF, I’m sharing a couple of projects that can really make your house look and feel new again. I’m sharing some cute shoes from Target, my favorite egg salad, and a great low-sugar high protein cereal that we just discovered. Like always, it’s random but I hope you enjoy this week’s favorite finds.

Favorite #1: Peel and Stick Beadboard Wallpaper

Last week, I shared my parents’ epic kitchen renovation. I discussed why we chose the materials that we did along with the total budget and sources for products used. Since we decided t wait on installing tile backsplash until we replace the appliances in the future, I put up this pre-pasted beadboard wallpaper. I actually used this same wallpaper on our mud area and it’s held up well for many years now. It’s even paintable so you can customize it with any color you like.

It looks so great in my parents’ kitchen and it doesn’t even have to be a temporary thing especially if you love this look.

Favorite #2: Newly painted doors and trim

I’m on a mission to paint all the trim and doors in our home. Since the house is 16 years old, the trim and doors have a lot of natural wear and tear. Plus, it was originally painted a very warm white which has yellow tones. I have started painting them on the main level with Pure White by Sherwin Williams. I have used this color for years as it’s in one of our guest rooms and our screened-in porch. I got tired of this blue on this door especially since it had a ton of scratches.

Ahh so much better! I can’t even begin to tell you how good the trim and door look in the main bathroom too. Paint is truly the best DIY makeover.

Favorite #3: Mayo-Free Egg Salad

I’ve been on a major egg salad and chicken salad kick lately. This mayo-free egg salad never disappoints and you won’t even miss the mayonnaise in traditional egg salad recipes. The avocado provides the perfect consistency and flavor and it’s so much healthier! Try this chicken veggie salad too!

Favorite #4: High Protein Low Sugar Cereal

I’ve been ordering from Thrive Market for many months now and one of my new favorite finds is the high protein cereal. So far, we’ve tried these two cereal brands and they are both delicious. I recommend Three Wishes over the Iwon but both are great alternatives to traditional cereal that normally have at least 3x more sugar. We love everything in this photo and they are usually on my autoship. If you are looking for a less expensive way to buy specialty snacks and treats that are healthier, I highly recommend trying Thrive. You can use this link to get $40 off your first order. I always use their special deals and discounts every single time I order to get maximum savings.

Favorite #5: Target sandals

When we went to Cancun, I only packed two sandals. Both are nude and from Target. Jules even borrowed them since we wear the same size. Nude sandals are super versatile and can be mixed and matched with so many outfits making them casual or dressy.

These nude two-band slide sandals have a slight wedge which makes them comfortable for my flat feet. I have a hard time wearing flats and these offer a slight heel. I own last summer’s nude braided sandals but this year it has an even cuter detailed heel. They even come in so many different colors like the raffia version making it super cute for the spring and summer.

Thanks for reading, friends! I hope you have a great weekend.

xoxo,

I miss her big giant hugs, random crazy dance moves, impromptu jams on the piano, base guitar, harmonica, and ukulele. It’s a mix of excitement, happiness and sadness and I’m letting myself feel it all. I catch myself getting weepy throughout the day but I feel a deep sense of gratitude for this new season and what she’ll get to experience.
Aside from the rug, the girls styled their space and it turned out so cute. I love that she’s rooming with her friend from 1st grade. How can my child be in college?!😭😢
