Let’s see what made the list for Friday Favorite Five Edition 20!
Hey friends! I’m back with Friday Favorite Five after taking a break last week. Today, I’m sharing some of my very favorite things from this past week including gadgets, a recipe, and a small business started by a friend. I hope you’ll check them out!
Favorite #1: Juicer
This past week, I got into juicing. We borrowed my parents’ Hurom juicer and are officially hooked. Whenever we go out to brunch, I love treating myself to a fresh veggie juice if they have it. It’s super refreshing and I think because I drank it all throughout my childhood, it’s super nostalgic. Lately, I have been juicing carrots, celery, apples, spinach, and lemons. Since it stays fresh for a few days, I make a good amount and store the juice in an airtight container in the fridge.
Favorite #2: Paleo Carrot Bread
The other day, I shared my paleo carrot bread recipe using the leftover carrot pulp from juicing. I have already made this recipe twice this week and it’s gone already. It’s a great little treat for the afternoon or even a healthy breakfast full of vitamins and fiber. Try this recipe sometime this week and lmk if you like it!
Favorite #3: Apple Slicer
This apple slicer is the coolest little gadget especially if you eat a lot of apples in your home. It cuts the apple quickly and removes the core easily. I recommend buying this one comes because it comes in a pack of two. That way, you can give the other one to a friend or neighbor!
Favorite #4: SousVide Chicken
Every time we have family or guests, Jimmy loves using the sousvide to cook some steaks or chicken. If you love flavorful, tender cooked chicken and steak, then you have to try this method of cooking. I have never eaten chicken as tender and moist. It’s so delicious and the cooking method is simple!
Favorite #5: Nabee Pillows
My friend Song recently launched her small business, Nabee Pillows and I’m so excited to share her with you all. She has a long history of sewing garments, upholstery and drapes. Her work is absolutely phenomenal as anyone call tell from looking at any of her products. Song sewed some beautiful pillows for me and I had to style them in our upstairs bonus room. The gray velvet pillows are made from a rich fabric and looks oh so luxurious. She also made these custom pillows with a leather accent on them.
If you love pillows, please check her out. Even the zippers are the best quality I’ve ever seen on pillows. If you want a custom pillow like the leather accent ones, she will be happy to help you with a design. I love that these pillows can be here in the bonus room or even our living room. Since taking the photo, I took a couple of the leather ones and added them to our bedroom.
Thanks for reading, friends! I hope you have a great weekend.
xoxo,
