What’s new for this week’s Friday Favorite Five?!
Last week, I shared that I was bringing back this series of blog posts every Friday. Last Friday, I shared my current favorite jeans, milk frother and some other goodies. It’s a fun way to share some of the things I’m currently loving. So without further ado, let’s get to this week’s Friday Favorite Five.
For my birthday last month, one of my girlfriends gifted me pillow slippers. Most likely, you’ve seen them all over the internet. I kept seeing them on Instagram and Facebook. So what’s the verdict?
Since we don’t wear shoes at home, we typically wear house slippers. I always have to wear something with support because of my back pain and it’s usually my very attractive crocs. These pillow slippers are made of rubber and they are pretty big and bulky. The advantage is that whenever I hit my toes somewhere like the kitchen stools, they totally protect my feet! I have to say they are pretty comfortable too. I usually prefer something with a little heel but these have been working great. I find myself reaching for these every day and I even took them on my beach vacation!
They come in multiple sizes and colors. Doesn’t it just complete my outfit?
Have you ever bought earrings from Amazon? I’m a huge earring lover and saw a couple of pairs I really liked so I decided to give them a go. Btw, my soft gray jeans are on major sale right at Madewell. They are so soft, stretchy, and really comfortable!
I have been wearing these 14 kt gold plated twisted rope earrings often and I love that I can take the bottom link off and wear one single chain by itself. I will say they are a little heavier than I prefer but they look super cute and are inexpensive. I also ordered and have worn this dangly pair for when I get a little more dressy. Also, my double necklace set is only $9.99 at Madewell right now!
Last weekend, Jules and I repotted a bunch of our plants. She’s such a little plant mama and the ones in her room have been doing so so good. We had to repot some into bigger containers and we also added a bunch of propagated Pothos into small containers.
If you’re looking for inexpensive pots, these are similar to the ones I have been using. I love these pots because they each have a bottom dish that holds any extra water that comes out of the pot. They’re made of a high-quality material that won’t deform or break.
This is when I know I’ve become my mom aka crazy plant lady. You can check out this reel for a great visual tutorial on how to propagate your Pothos plant.
A few weeks ago, the ice machine in our fridge broke for the second time. Instead of replacing the ice machine, I ordered these whiskey ice molds. When I visited my brother in Brooklyn, I noticed he had a bunch of the whiskey ice in a container in his freezer. They are perfect for drinks because they keep them cold for so long. I have literally been drinking lemonade daily with my huge ice cubes. The kids have become obsessed with this new ice and use it daily too. Ahh, it’s the small things, people. Btw, Jimmy got our ice machine working again but we all prefer using this fancy ice now. 🙂
Thanks so much for reading and I hope you all have an amazing weekend! I shared 3 posts this week including my brother’s Brooklyn home and some tips for holiday entertaining. I hope you’ll check them out on the blog.
xoxo,
