Check out this week’s Friday Favorite Five Edition 17!
Hi friends, how are you doing? So much is also happening around the world specifically with the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. It’s been on my mind and heart and sometimes, I find it difficult to focus on work when there is so much heaviness going on. My passion is to always inspire, encourage and empower others to love their homes. Our homes are a refuge and should provide respite from the world. It’s not lost on me to know what a blessing and privilege that is. Creating a sanctuary for our families is a right that everyone should be able to have.
I have been blogging for almost 8 years now and my hope has always been to help others create a home they love. I hope that you find this place to be a soft landing for you as you navigate all things in life be it decorating, parenting, and everything in between.
Favorite #1: Atlanta City Pass
I’m going to be honest, I lost count of what day it was with the kids at home from school for 5 days. Since they had a mini-break, I also took a few days off to spend some time taking them around the city with friends.
If you’re in Atlanta, the city pass is totally worth it. It includes the GA aquarium, Atlanta zoo, and the Coca Cola museum. You also get to choose two out of three other attractions including Fernbank Museum of Natural History, College Football Hall of Fame, or the National Center for Civil and Human Rights.
The kids had a blast and it was time well spent. You save 46% off ticket prices so I highly recommend buying the city pass online. We didn’t even have to schedule our visits for any of the attractions.
Favorite #2: Pleated Floral Skirt
This past week, it was a very special day on the calendar. 2/22/22!! That day also happens to be our wedding anniversary and we celebrated 19 years. Jimmy and I talked about how fast 19 years have already gone by. The last two years have allowed Jimmy to work from home which has given our family more opportunities to spend time together. I’m especially thankful that we continue to really like each other!
If you’re looking for a cute skirt, I found this floral pleated midi when we were in New Orleans a few weeks back. It comes in different colors and patterns and it’s on clearance.
Favorite #3: Boiler Suit
I recently found the cutest outfit at Target the other day. I knew it would be super cute on Jules but I also ended up loving it too! She modeled it right after her track practice the other day so I could share it with you guys. Isn’t it adorable? The sleeves have a slight puff and the waist is cinched so it looks more like a chic boiler suit. 😀 Someone is clearly preparing for her modeling career.
Favorite #4: Dried Mango
Our family is OBSESSED with these dried mangos from Costco. The bag is huge but we can finish it in a few days. It’s probably my favorite snack and I have to stop myself from eating them constantly. They are completely natural which I prefer bc I hate the taste of the added sugar varieties. Plus, it has no sulfites!! If you don’t have a Costco, you can order the bag from Amazon. The price isn’t too much of a difference. Beware, you will eat the whole bag!
Favorite #5: Podcast
About a month ago, I was interviewed on a podcast called, “When I grow up” by Blair Kim. Blair interviewed me on how I became a blogger/influencer and the story of how my passion turned into a business. It’s about an hour-long so if you have time, check it out along with all the other interviews she’s conducted with so many other Asian-Americans.
Yesterday, I also shared an office reveal for a client so be sure to check out that fun project.
Thanks for reading, friends!
xoxo,
