FRIDAY FAVORITE FIVE EDITION 16

February 11, 2022

It’s time for Friday Favorite Five Edition 16

Hey guys, hope you had a great week! For this week’s Friday Favorite Five, I’m sharing a Valentines’ day craft with the kids, my 3-in-1 charger stand, pretty glassware, a simple inexpensive arrangement, and a new to me small business.

Favorite #1: Valentine’s Day Craft

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I shared these photo cards that I make with the kids over on Instagram. I’ve been making these for the last twelve years but unfortunately, my kids are now too old to hand these out. Insert ugly cry. This year, Emmy decided to pass out York peppermint patties with a piece of paper stuck on the candy with her friends’ names on them. She didn’t even want the cheap Valentines and was perfectly content with her own idea. Btw, is she 55 or something? It cracks me up that she loves York peppermint patties. šŸ˜€

Sometimes simple is best and I’m glad she is pretty low maintenance. So please indulge me and make these with your kids. I saved these as mementos and had to share them with you since I post about them every year.

Favorite #2: Carnation Arrangement

If you’re looking for a simple arrangement, put a bunch of carnations into a vase. Inexpensive flowers look great if they are all grouped together.  You can even do this with baby’s breath, daisies, or filler flowers.

Favorite #3: Phone + Watch Charger

Did you catch our bedroom reveal this week? It feels like a completely new space and we love the airy brightness and fresh update so much. Let me share a few things that are currently sitting on my nightstand.

Jimmy bought this cool charger for me for Christmas and it’s so awesome not having to finagle a bunch of different cords. It sits on my nightstand and I love that it’s clean and minimal. The charger stand dock can charge your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods all at once! The mirrored alarm clock is also super sleek and takes up little space.

Favorite #4: Pretty Fluted Cup

I am a lover of pretty cups and these elegant whiskey tumblers are made to be stackable. I use them to drink water or kombucha and love the details like the gold rim and fluted glass. These aren’t available until April but here is a similar option that is equally beautiful and affordable. This ribbed and carafe set would also be really pretty especially on your nightstand.

Favorite #5: Boheme Candles

For this week, I’m highlighting this small business that sells high-quality candles and scents. Bohēme offers all-natural, clean-burning candles and fragrances without the harmful toxins. They are beautifully packaged and are all inspired by adventure and travel.

I miss her big giant hugs, random crazy dance moves, impromptu jams on the piano, base guitar, harmonica, and ukulele. It’s a mix of excitement, happiness and sadness and I’m letting myself feel it all. I catch myself getting weepy throughout the day but I feel a deep sense of gratitude for this new season and what she’ll get to experience.
Aside from the rug, the girls styled their space and it turned out so cute. I love that she’s rooming with her friend from 1st grade. How can my child be in college?!😭😢
