Christmas is only in 5 days! Are you guys freaking out? I have some family coming in town the day after Christmas so I wanted to add a few small touches to the guest room. If you remember, I just transformed this room this past Spring for the One Room Challenge.
I haven’t made much changes to this room except switch out small decor items here and there. Adding a tray with a few ornaments and a faux tree add some festive details to the space.
I added my DIY foraged minimal styled wreaths over the gold mirrors on both sides above the nightstands. I loved how the hoop fit the exact circle shape on the mirror. I even added some sparkly lights over the headboard. It’s the same one I used for my very ugly Christmas sweater.
Some mini flocked trees grace the nightstand right below the minimal wreaths. I went back to my SIL’s backyard to forage for more branches and I may or may not have seen a live SNAKE!! WAHHHHHHH!!! Let’s say, I’m done foraging for a while.
My neutral pillow was bought at my friend, Jill’s sample sale.
I’m ready to welcome my guests! Actually, I’m totally not. We’re doing a living room transformation in partnership with Home Depot and so everything from there has been pushed into the guest room. Looks like I’ll be spending some time cleaning this room before my guests arrive next week.
Hope you have a wonderful day! I know it’s easy to stress about the small stuff this week like finding last minute gifts and finishing our last minute to-do lists but let’s not let this special season pass us by. I’m reminded of the simple and powerful truth of the little baby born in a humble manger who was sent down to give us hope. Hope in Him. Hope in eternity. So with that truth, let’s rest and embrace the people around us and allow that beautiful truth to draw us to Him. Love you, friends!
