Since it’s Monday, I thought it would be fun to do a Halloween recap to give you guys a good laugh. For Halloween, Jimmy and I went as this….
Mugatu and his flapper girl make an unlikely pair.
We literally thought of these costumes last minute because we wanted to use what we had. Jimmy gets all the credit for making his costume. I actually bought the rocker wig last year after Halloween for $2 hoping to use it this year. He tied the hair up in two side buns! I’m pretty sure I got more than my money’s worth.
Some felt letters, hot glue, and an ugly wig later, voila!! He went around the neighborhood asking if anyone had a white stuffed dog. As you can see, he found one! #obeymydog The funniest part was that no one knew who he was except our friends and one neighbor.
Jules and JJ: “Um, no offense mom and dad but what are you guys supposed to be?”
We had 2 ninjas and one chicken. The big kids were insistent on being ninjas and Emmy could care less so we stuffed her in the old chicken costume to keep her warm. We are a hodge podge of personalities so what can you expect?
I gotta get into character right? I threw on one of my shirts, a ton of jewelry, a handmade hairpin, my SIL’s wig, and a furry collar from one of my coats. Thanks to my friend, Hye Jong for the idea!
We went to a birthday party for our friends’ son and then took all the kids out trick or treating. Look how cute these ladies are!

Our friend Mike showed up and he never lets us down. I don’t think I know a guy who loves Halloween more than this dude. You guys, it was all handmade with lots of cardboard and spray paint. This DIY girl was seriously impressed.

Needless to say, we had a great time with the kids. It’s always a blast seeing the kids get into costume but watching the adults take it to another level is the cherry on top. Hope everyone had a safe and fun weekend!
