Hey everyone! It’s been a busy week for me so I haven’t been able to post much. I’ve been a busy bee getting ready for the women’s event next weekend, “Be Brave.” Sign up if you haven’t because the registration deadline is soon! It’s gonna be so good! I’m so excited to see what God has in store for us.
As usual, I’m always knee deep in projects so I’ll be sharing a new reveal soon. It has to do with my master bedroom! I’ll also share some fun Halloween crafts next week.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I recently won an amazing giveway from Doss Decor and Lighting Design. For my birthday this year, Jimmy asked me what I wanted and I said, “lights!” Forget designer handbags people, give me all the lights! He is way passed my weirdness to know that this answer is actually quite normal. ha! Well, lo and behold, I actually won an amazing light! You guys, I never win stuff from giveaways or drawings. I went from never winning to winning the jackpot of all giveaways.
Do you remember when I converted the dining room to my office? It’s still one of the best decisions I’ve made for our house. It gets used on a daily basis and I love that it’s my own personal space but close to all the crazy action. #minkids The chandelier light in this room was a builder grade one. Although there was nothing wrong with it besides the fact that it was lopsided, I really wanted to change it out to something a little more to my taste.
The light came on a day when Jimmy happened to be home. #luckyme He installed it for me during naptime since the kids were all home for fall break. Is there anything more handsome than seeing your guy do handywork?
I had to take a picture before we even bought the lightbulbs. Isn’t she pretty? It fits my style and aesthetic perfectly don’t you think? I love that it has distressing on it too. I think I’m finally beginning to nail down my design style to “country chic.” It’s like a down to earth country girl with an eclectic glam streak. I don’t even know if that makes sense but it does to me. Since I can’t have a house in the country, I gotta bring the country into my house!
I like to think of lighting as jewelry for the room. It’s like an accessory that completes the outfit and adds a beautiful element to any room.
If you’re thinking about getting a new light, I know that Lighting Design has a ton of options with all different styles and price ranges. This isn’t a sponsored post but I just love the Minka light I received and I know they have great customer service.
Hope you’re having a great Thursday! I’ll be back tomorrow with a few Friday Favorites!

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men. Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. Romans 14:17-19
