Here are a few favorite items of 2019.
As the year closes in, I wanted to share a few favorite items of 2019. It varies from my favorite paint, skin care lotion, decor piece, lemon packets, etc. Some of it is a little random but I just love them so I had to share with you.
I like to keep my skin care regimen pretty simple and I shared about it in this post. Recently, I discovered the positive benefits of using retinol in your moisturizer. I ordered this inexpensive retinol cream from Amazon and have really loved the product. It came with amazing reviews and I have been using it in the morning and at night. I really feel like I have seen a difference in the texture and appearance of my skin.
I also have very dry skin in the winter and this seems to have helped. I normally use Jojoba oil in the evenings after my moisturizer but have been loving rose oil. I also started to use the jade roller and gua sha scraping tool a couple times a week on my face to help with puffiness and fine lines. Look, I’m 4o now so I’m being a little more attentive to my skin these days. Ha!
It all started with painting my garage door but now I’ve used the same Deco Art Curb Appeal paint to transform my stone backsplash. I have plans to paint my front door on the inside as well the staircase black. This paint is really amazing and I’m so happy with the results. Oh yeah, I almost forgot but I also painted my dining table with it and it looks beautiful. You only need one bottle to paint both sides of the door.
Serena and Lily have some of the most gorgeous pieces for the home and I’m in love with this Summerland basket pendant in the dining room. This light is normally used for outdoors but they would look so lovely as pairs over the kitchen island. It really adds that wow factor to our dining space don’t you think?
This gorgeous bar cart comes in two colors and I have moved it to use in the kitchen as a beverage cart. It’s going to come in handy this Christmas with all of my siblings coming to town. I think a hot cocoa bar would be so cute for all the kids! I had so much fun putting together neighbor gifts and if you’ve never dried oranges, you totally should! They add the cutest little ornament to each gift.
Redoing my office this past year has been a total game changer. I work here almost every day and it’s amazing how much this new space has helped me with productivity as well as keep me organized. Even though it’s such a small thing, those two faux leather pouches help my desk stay cleaned with holding recent receipts and contracts. I love that it’s easy access and looks stylish.
I will forever love my high rise jeans but these nude sandals from Target were on major repeat since I’ve bought them. They are surprisingly comfortable and look great with almost every outfit.
One of our favorite finds this year are these lemon and lime packets. They are made of real crystalized lemons and limes and they are absolutely delicious. We add them to all kinds of drinks and we especially love it with our carbonated water. They have no added sugar, are completely natural and make any drink so refreshing. We no longer have to buy limes and lemons as we use these packets for when any recipe calls for them. They are great to take with you while traveling too! When you use them, make sure to use glass instead of plastic cups as the acidity can affect the plastic.
And lastly, I love this lip rescue balm from Tarte. I wear it everyday in the berry color and it feels so great on my lips. It has a nice sheen and glides in with a subtle amount of color which is great for everyday wear. I have a few colors and the only downside is that it doesn’t last very long!
I hope you enjoyed my random favorite items of 2019 as this was a fun post. If you try anything like those lemon packets, lmk! We are obsessed and have gotten our friends hooked on them too!
xoxo,
