Hey friends! Today is the first day of December and I wanted to share something near and dear to my heart. In our home, we’ve kept this tradition alive every Christmas since Jules was a little girl.
Years ago, I took cardstock and made ornaments from them by labeling different names and attributes of God. Each one has a number for the day and the back has a name for God and a verse that goes along with that name. Everyday in December until Christmas, the kids take turns putting up an ornament on our mini silver branch tree. They practice memorizing the name or attribute for God and we love to quiz the kids every day to see how many they can remember. Since we’ve been doing it every Christmas, I changed a few of them. I decided to create a free printable and share them all with you. If you don’t have an Advent tradition, try this one! You can get creative and put these on the fridge or wall. They don’t have to hang on a tree. It’s up to you! Use whatever cardstock you have and all you have to do is print them out at home.
I labeled one side with a name/attribute for God and you just have to label a number on the other side. If you print these out for your personal use, all I ask is that you share the link with a friend or two. I really believe one of the most important gifts we can give to our kids is passing down a love and thirst to know scripture. I’ve been praying over this printable all day as I truly desire families to grow closer to Christ during this season of Advent. I’m praying that this simple tool can be used to achieve that. It’s not just for kids either! Please use them and mediate on the scripture for each day.
Click here to print your own advent ornaments. If you print these, I would love to know how you use them. I’ll be providing some other free printables this month so make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss a post. You can subscribe by entering your email on the home page of the blog.
Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for the Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour!

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
