Waffles, jeans and face oils are some of my Friday Favorites for this week.
Today, I’m sharing some of my favorites from this week and I’ll start with these blueberry waffles. Have you made them yet? Jimmy and I ate these this morning with some fried eggs and it was a winning combination. I’m linking up with Momfessionals to share this week’s favorite things. I’ve added affiliate links in this post for your convenience.
The weather has cooled considerably in the mornings and evenings so I was able to wear some transitional clothing like my plaid tunic. I bought that on clearance last year at Anthropologie for $20! Sadly, they are no longer available but I found this cute version for only $15.99. This whole outfit is from last winter but the jeans and booties are still available. The jeans are my favorite and the only ones I can wear during the summer months because they are well ventilated. lol My parents are always like, “ohhh my poor daughter needs some new pants.” My friend, Jennifer gave these to me and I’ve worn them so much the holes are so big now. They are my holy jeans. Here’s another cute option. The fringe booties were also bought last year but are available again this season. They are super comfy and add such a fun detail in the back.
Remember how I shared I have combination oily skin? My cheeks get super dry and I’ve been using this for a couple of months now and it has helped considerably. I mix a couple drops of the jojoba oil with my night serum and moisturizer. The bottle is less than $14 and will last you a long time. It has really helped with the dryness. I also never wash my face in the mornings which also helps with the overall dryness.
These embroidered skinnies were sold out but are available again. I like the high waist and the fun details of the flowers. I will be wearing these on repeat all season long.
I’m excited to get this laundry room done. If you missed my post, be sure to read about our laundry room makeover to see all the crazy Before photos. The new floor (not shown) is a new favorite and I can’t wait to share it with you next week.
Last week, Jimmy went out of town for a few days for work so we took the kids to get some dinner and treats at Jeni’s ice cream. Thanks to my sis for treating us. We enjoyed a pear flavored sorbet which was dairy free and it was actually pretty tasty. If you haven’t tried Jeni’s, I recommend trying it once. It’s expensive but there create some unique flavors. Look, Jimmy lost his belly!!!
We hope all of our friends stay safe in Florida this weekend. I’ve texted some of our friends to check if they are evacuating and need a place to stay. If you want to donate to help the many families who were affected by Hurricane Harvey, you can see the organizations we donated to in this post. Thank you also for your continued prayers for my friend, Sunny. I visited with her last night and she looked so so good. We’re praying for a quick recovery and strength for her through the next stages of healing.
Have a safe and blessed weekend, friends.

Looks like you have been super busy creating! Don’t you just love that our husbands watch their diet for a couple of weeks and they shed a ton of fat and weight? My husband just lost a couple of pounds within the last week! Jimmy looks amazing and you two are so cute!
