It’s laundry room reveal day! See how our laundry room went from a drab to fab transformation in just 2 weeks
It’s time to share my laundry room reveal with you guys! I couldn’t wait so I decided to share it a few days earlier than I originally planned. Thanks to Blanco for sponsoring this post and project because I’ve always wanted to work on this room and when the opportunity arose, I knew it was the perfect time. Before I go on, you can start from the beginning of the makeover with Week 1 and also catch up on Week 2 and Week 3 progress posts. With every good makeover, I love to share the BEFORE photos one more time so you can see the difference. I’ve sourced everything below in this post so you can find exact and/or similar items used in this makeover. Affiliate links are provided for your convenience.
I shared in my very first post the reasons why we wanted to update our laundry room from our damaged linoleum flooring, nasty yellow walls and terrible use of storage. It became a hodge podge room of sorts. It only made doing laundry more a chore and going into this room gave me stress because I knew I needed to clear out and organize everything.
I’m happy to say all of those hats, winter accessories and swim suits finally have their designated storage area.
You ready for the AFTER?? You know how I love when things have multi-purpose? Well, this laundry room has officially become my mom cave.
A fresh coat of white paint, new lighting and flooring made a huge difference.
I had some other amazing companies partner up with me on this project. Wallpaper Blvd sent me this gorgeous wallpaper by Magnolia. I’ve had my eyes set on that wallpaper for some time and knew it would be perfect for this space. I wanted to create one bold focal wall I love a good buffalo check. I also love mixing patterns so I’ll share a tutorial on how I put together the art work soon. I printed free laundry printables from Postcards from the Ridge and used mirrored frames I already had. No one says you can’t have fun art work in a laundry room.
The shelving unit will be great for folding laundry and holding laundry essentials.
The baskets on top of the shelving are deep and hold all of the swim and winter gear. There is plenty of room to hold off season accessories and more. I kept one basket under the sink to hold plastic bags and extra detergent. Extra hooks on the wall are used for our sweaty hats after they’re washed and need to be air dried.
Jimmy did an awesome job building the base and I just gave it a couple of coats of some glossy black paint. I also wanted to add a towel hanger to give the base some more detail and added function.
I love my new sink, faucet and beautiful sink base.
A huge thanks to Lighting Design Company for sending me this gorgeous semi-flush light. It’s perfect! I have worked with Lighting Design Company many times and they have provided some amazing lights to our home. I love that they are a family owned business.
My friends over at Aspect Peel and Stick Tiles sent me these gorgeous glass tiles. No grouting is needed and they stick on that dry wall like nobody’s business. It really added a classic look to the laundry room.
Don’t bother me kids. Mama is going off to her cave for some much needed alone time and chocolate.
I am totally hanging out in here! If you need me, you know where I’ll be.
Hope you guys love my mom cave…I mean laundry room as much I do! It’s a bit country and a bit funky just like me. I’m proud of how quickly this room came together and thank my husband for helping me to turn my vision into a reality. He studied engineering in school and it’s times like these, that skill comes in real handy! Ever time I walk by this room, I have a big grin on my face. The process of completing a room is always exhausting but seeing it at the end makes it totally worth it. I’m so thankful to exercise my artistic passion in my own home and share them with you. Whether it be a laundry room or any other room in our home, I love putting my own spin on it and making it our style. Each room with all of our DIY projects tell a story and I love how they all come together to create our home.
A huge thanks goes to Blanco for sponsoring this makeover. I also want to thank my other friends at Wallpaper Blvd, Lighting Design Company and Aspect Peel and Stick Tiles for partnering up with me on this makeover. If you have any questions about sourcing, please comment below and I will answer them as quickly as I can.
Here’s a final side by side. I’d love to know what you guys think!
