A little greenery and decor helped to create a very merry front door.
One of my favorite areas to decorate for Christmas is our front door. I run over to my SIL’s backyard and cut a bunch of her gorgeous cypress branches. I use them along with my faux garland to create a full wintry garland around our front door. I also had to clean all of the Halloween and Fall decor which left a big mess. Thankfully, I used my trusty Greenworks tools to get our front yard looking good before the holidays. Here’s how I created my very merry front door.
This post is sponsored by my friends at Greenworks but all thoughts, styling and cute FIL are my own.
I was introduced to Greenworks last summer and loved the product so much that we bought my FIL one of their products for Father’s Day.
I’ve found all the tools easy to use and I love that they are all battery operated. We actually bought him the pressure washer for his birthday and it has come in handy so many times.
While getting ready to Christmas-fy my front door, I cleaned up all the Halloween and Fall decor. There was a bunch of debris left from leaves and dirt all around the front door. Nothing a little Greenworks blower can’t fix!
To add a similar garland like mine, hang up a faux one first. This will provide the structure and act as a good base. Using floral wire, wrap the real branches around the faux one. You can cut branches if you have that type of tree or go to a place that sells Christmas trees and they usually have a box of free clippings available.
I added some ribbon and I did the same thing with my faux wreath by adding real branches and faux berries to it.
I used the Greenworks blower to remove all the dirt and unwanted leaves from the ground. The handle is easy to hold and my youngest can even handle this task.
I think every homeowner needs one of these to help keep their yard under control especially in the Fall when all the leaves land everywhere in the yard. We also use it all the time to remove debris from our garage.
Now, my front door area is looking clean and festive for the holidays!
My FIL lives next door and when he saw me cleaning the front door, he decided he needed to clean up his yard too. He loves using the brushless cordless string trimmer. It is especially useful when trimming the excess long grass that the lawnmover can’t reach.
Both the blower and cordless string trimmer are 80V.
Some of the great features are
- Brushless motors are more reliable and delivers gas equivalent performance to a 32cc gas engine
- (1) 2Ah battery and charger included
- 14/16-inch cut path, .080 line diameter bump feed and die cast gear box for durability
- Up to 500CFM and 125MPH to blow through wet/dry leaves and debris
This particular product comes as a combo unit. Wouldn’t this make the perfect gift for that special person in your life that loves tools and/or taking care of their lawn? Emmy had to photobomb because why not?

Warning: You may just become addicted to yard work like my FIL with these tools. But you’ll have a beautiful yard to show for it! Ha!
As always thank you for reading! I’ve already started decorating for Christmas in my home and it’s getting me excited!! Thanks to Greenworks for helping me get my yard and front door cleaned and ready for the holidays!
