This year’s colorful Easter tablescape is inspired by florals and a mix of casual and formal pieces.
Today, I’m so sharing my colorful Easter tablescape as part of a fun blogger hop! The blog hop started yesterday and you will find the complete list of the tour on the bottom. If you’re new here, welcome! I’m so excited you’re here and you can read a little about me here. I love sharing simple ways to create a home you love no matter the size or budget. I hope you get a little inspired here today as you hang out here for a bit.
For Easter this year, I decided to go colorful because the thought of Spring just makes me think of all the flowers and new life that will be sprouting up again. We’ve been hit with what seems like incessant rain in Georgia and now a cold front so I’ve been day dreaming of sunny weather. I know many of you are still struggling with a ton of snow so I can’t really complain!
I can’t wait for my perennial flowers to bloom and so that was a bit of my inspiration as I created this setting. I stage homes for a living so I create tablescapes 24-7. I love mix and matching formal and casual dining pieces and so that’s exactly what I did here. I layered ceramic salad plates on top of melamine dinner plates and I love how the set came with varying floral patterns. It has the perfect pastel backdrop for the ceramic plates.
I layered the plates with a napkin to sit on the wooden scalloped chargers. I love finding great deals so although some of these items are no longer available, I have found some similar sources for you. The colorful napkins were Anthropologie finds from last year so they are sadly no longer available.
The white eggs are just plastic ones I DIY-ed last year with a gold sharpie. The little egg holders were Homegoods clearance finds post Easter last year.
I love creating floral arrangements and shared a simple tutorial on my youtube channel so you can create your very own.
The mix and matched plates and napkins keep it playful yet chic without feeling too formal. The linen table cover keeps it a bit more casual and I love that you can choose not to iron it. It’s the lazy woman’s tablescape linen and I like it!
Next on the blog hop tour is my dear friend, Rhonda at Hallstrom Home . She is crazy talented and I know you will love all of her creative ideas. I’m off to stage a house today so be sure to follow along with me on Instagram to catch all my stories.
