I’m bringing an oldie but a goodie back with the new Friday Favorite Five!
Who remembers when I used to share my Friday Favs a while back? I honestly think it’s been a couple of years but I would basically share some of my favorite things with you guys. It was anything from products to organizational tips, recipes and anything else that was I loving in that moment. Well, I have some things I have really been loving lately so I decided to bring it back with a new name. Are you ready for my Friday favorite five? I even created a graphic for it! Go me!
This past week, I shared a fun reel sharing my organization hack to storing trash bags under the kitchen sink. It went a little crazy and people went nuts to the point the bins sold out on Amazon. Well thankfully, they have the charcoal colored bin in stock so you too can store your trash bags easily like I did! I buy the Costco Kirkland trash bags and the box was just not cutting it for me. I recommend adding just one roll of trash bags because the lid won’t stay on. If you can find a larger container, even better! I actually just store both rolls and push the lid down when pulling out a bag. I love that it allows for vertical storage because there are so many pipes back there making the the space unusable. This way, I can store all my sprays and cleaners. Yay for successful adulting!
You know those people who are avid coffee lovers and relish their cup every morning? That’s me except it’s with tea. I love tea sooo much and I have been on an Earl Gray black tea kick with frothy oat milk. I just buy regular oat milk and microwave it for 3o seconds in a little milk pitcher like this. Then, I use this amazing milk frother to create the most delicious foamy oat milk for my tea. It’s just the bees knees, people. I love it so much and the frother is currently only $9.97!! It’s battery-powered and lasts a good while. This little ritual brings me so much joy every morning and I love drinking it out on our screened porch.
I just recently returned from a girls weekend trip up to NYC. New York is one of my favorite places and it was so nice going back after not being there for almost 2 years. The city was bustling and we felt safe with all of the Covid precautions they are taking everywhere including restaurants, stores, and ubers.
I recently gifted myself this leather tote bag for my birthday from Etsy. I was looking for something chic to carry my computer but also a bag that would be amazing for travel. Say hello to this gorgeous bag that has a trolley so that it can easily slide into the luggage handles. This feature alone makes this bag so wonderful for traveling. I added all the different features like the extra crossbody strap, front pocket, and zipper. I loved it so much I bought one for my friend for her birthday. Mine is the copper large and I bought my friend the brown large. Both are of amazing quality and color and will only get better with time and use.
If you’re looking for an awesome suitcase, I stand by my Away carry-on. I have the larger carry-on and it’s amazing for travel. It comes with an external battery charger and the luggage is super lightweight and easy to roll around. Most of my friends own one now because it comes with a lifetime guarantee. You can use this code to get $20 off.
While up in New York, I met up with my long-time blogger pal, Charlotte! She always comes to see me all the way from Connecticut and we have the best time. We hit up an antique market and walked through a bunch of stores in Brooklyn where my brother, John lives with his partner. It was my first time in Brooklyn and I’ve decided it is the most charming city!
My other favorite item was my striped purse strap! It comes in so many different colors and patterns and I wanted something that was bright and bold and would look good with my basic leather crossbody purse. Sorry, I bought this purse from Italy a couple of years back but here’s a cute quilted purse you can buy and change the straps. Change the strap on your purse to add a little pizazz! It felt like a whole new bag and the quality is great especially for the low price.
And lastly, I loved Charlotte’s jeans so much! I ended up buying the same pair the next day in the city before heading home. It has a nice high waist with a cropped bottom creating a slight flare. These are currently 50% off and make a great pair of jeans throughout the year. They look cute with sneakers, booties, and sandals.
Okay, that was fun! I think I might have shared 6 things but oh well. We shall see if I can keep up with sharing my Friday Favorite Five every week.
By the way, I finally set up my Amazon storefront page. Now, I can easily guide you all there to find items I love and use in my own home. I hope you’ll check it out! Happy Friday and have the most amazing weekend.
xoxo,
