Hey friends! I can’t believe Thanksgiving is tomorrow and Christmas is just a few weeks away. My friend, Sarah at Thrifty Decor Chick shares her list of favorite gifts every year and this year, she created a little blog hop. Today, I’m partnering up with some of my blogger friends and sharing our favorite things in hopes that this will help make your holiday shopping a little easier. Most everything I’m sharing today is stuff I own and absolutely love. I’ve attached links so you can purchase all of these items online. I am all about buying things online and avoiding long lines and crowded stores during this time of year. I’ve attached some affiliate links throughout the post for your convenience.
I own 3 blanket scarves and I love all of them! I have bought so many of these for friends and family and I used to buy them from an online boutique at boutique prices I’m so happy to see these are available everywhere. The best part is they are only $12.99 here and include free shipping. I love wearing these during colder months and they make excellent blankets on the plane and at home. I use them for my tablescapes and for home decor. They are super versatile and come in all sorts of patterns and shades. I think they make excellent teacher gifts as well.
Last year for Christmas, my brother John bought me this electric kettle made by Nesco. You guys! This is the most amazing thing ever if you’re an avid tea drinker like me. I drink tea all day long and I love how quick this one heats up and it’s not hideous. I’m drinking my green tea as I’m typing this right now. My husband makes french press coffee every morning so we both use this kettle daily. Maybe it’s the getting older part but I love and appreciate receiving gifts like this because it’s something I use every single day.
Speaking of tea and coffee, my husband and I love and use our Contigo stainless steel travel mugs everyday. These have excellent reviews and are the best travel thermos we have used. They are vacuum insulated and come with an easy to clean lid. They also come in a variety of colors. I love that my tea stays heated for up to 5 hours! This would be an awesome gift with a bag of coffee or box of tea.
My brother, John also bought me similar gold stemless glasses last Christmas. They are so gorgeous we got them for his new studio too. The best part is right now, they are on sale at World Market! These would make beautiful housewarming gifts especially with a bottle of wine or champagne. This year, they have come out with a couple more different sizes for a similar look.
Colder weather means slippers are a must in our home. I always wear slippers especially since we have mostly hardwood floors on the main floors. These are super cute and cozy! They would make a lovely stocking stuffer gift for all the females in the home. They are only $15.99 too!
I really love the look of these moccasin slippers for men. My husband’s pair is pretty old and worn so I think it may be time to replace them with these.
My husband, Jimmy works for a pretty conservative company and every day, he wears a dress shirt and slacks. Recently, his company has allowed their employees to wear jeans! He loves wearing funky socks underneath his work clothes and I love that about him. He has a few but I’m thinking of adding some more to his collection and going even funkier with some of the more colorful patterns. Aren’t these so fun?
Onto the kids! Years ago, the grandparents bought my kids this awesome set of magnetic blocks called Magnablocks. These blocks are amazing. They have magnets attached inside the tiles and they can create the most amazing shapes. The kids really get creative when they’re playing with these and I love that young and older kids can play with these. I love playing with these too! The original Magnablocks are still a bit pricey but they have come out with less expensive brands that still have excellent reviews like the Shape Mags. If you’re looking for a gift for a child, this is a perfect gift because it’s both fun and helps them tap into their creative side.
Next to Magna Tiles and Legos, this is the other toy that my kids continue to play with again and again. Tinkertoys are great for building and are super easy to assemble. My 3 year old up to my 9 year old will build different things with these building pieces. My son especially loves creating bows and arrows and walking around the house like he’s on some serious mission. This set is currently $25.02.
By far, our most favorite children’s bible is the Jesus Storybook Bible. My college girlfriend bought this for one of my kids and it has been read so many times, the hardback spine fell off. I’m thinking of purchasing another one because it’s such a beautifully written book. Every single story points to Jesus and we’re invited to join in the adventure of discovering God’s story of salvation. Right now, it’s only $10.59!!
I hope you enjoyed my round-up of favorite gifts this year. I know personally it helps when someone else really loves and stands by a specific product. Don’t forget to check out the rest of the bloggers and their favorite gifts post! Hope you have a most wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family. As always, thank you so much for reading!
